No visible new features, but increased stability, especially for those of you on iOS 26. Heads-up: this release raises the minimum requirement to iOS 18.4. If you're on an older OS, the previous version 2025.2.x will keep working for the foreseeable future. ■ No Longer Broken • If you held a macOS-only license and opened the paywall to add iOS, the sheet would flash a "License Verified" toast and close on the spot, making the upgrade impossible. Fixed! Single-platform license holders can now actually see, and buy, the upgrade offering. Sorry for the mess. • The "License Verified" toast no longer appears for customers without a license, and no longer flashes on every routine open of the License tab. It now only shows up when it actually means something: after a successful purchase, after a successful restore, or when you explicitly retry a failed license check. • The app title on the Home tab no longer drifts off-center when it wraps to multiple lines. ■ Changes • Under the hood, the entire communication layer between AFO and Obsidian's "Actions URI" plugin was rewritten from scratch. You shouldn't notice a difference in day-to-day use, but if an Obsidian call ever hangs, you'll now get a clear timeout error after 20 seconds instead of waiting indefinitely.

- Resolved a file-handling problem where working with files (not notes) could produce strange characters in file and folder paths. Your file names now stay clean, predictable, and exactly as you created them. - Added an in-app notice about upcoming iOS requirements starting in 2026. If you are on iOS 16 or 17, you will now see a clear heads-up so you can plan ahead and avoid surprises. - Updated the "Linking your vault" introduction with an extra sentence that explains what qualifies a folder as a vault root folder. This helps you pick the correct folder the first time and avoid setup confusion. - Improved error reporting in Shortcuts actions, so when something goes wrong you get clearer messages that make it easier to understand what happened and how to fix it. - Clarified the descriptions of Obsidian File actions to explicitly state they only work with files and folders inside the currently selected vault. This reduces the risk of expecting access to locations that the app cannot reach. - Added a new "Contact the author" option, making it simpler to request support directly from within the app when you run into issues or have questions.

- The Get File action is once again correctly returning requested files. - Correctly surfaces the UID link as part of a note: an `obsidian://` link to the note that doesn't change even when the note title is changed. - Minor bug fixes and adjustments.

Bug fixes related to handling vaults with umlauts in their names, bug fixes for handling errors under the hood, cosmetic adjustments. It's a bug fix release, alright.

v2025.1.0 brings lots of bugfixes for several notes actions, and removes the dedicated "Periodic Notes" actions -- the functionality is still there but was moved into the standard notes actions last year, and so these old actions aren't needed anymore. AFO now requires iOS version 16.4 or higher.

This is a minor update which fixes the display of errors shown in the Shortcuts editor.

This update makes error messages more readable. (Most already were, mind.)

This minor release adds a workaround for a bug introduced in iOS 18.0 & macOS 15.0 which makes note-related actions ask for a file path, even though they should get the file path from a previous AFO action's result.

v2024.2 brings some solid enhancements, the major ones being: 1. Note actions, unite! Merging of general notes and Periodic Notes functionality 2. General support for note UIDs 3. Both the "Link with a vault" and the "Purchase a license" buttons didn't work for some users. It took a while and a ridiculous amount of detective work but they're back in business again. I apologize for the issues. (For some reason, the bug would only show up in App Store releases, but not in TestFlight or local testing, which made it extraordinarily hard to pin down.)

### Support for Note Properties Obsidian 1.4 brought us Note Properties, a very nice new core feature for organizing note metadata. This update adds actions for reading, writing, removing and clearing out note properties. See the “Notes” section in the Docs tab for links to their documentation pages. Additionally, all “Get note …” and “Create note …” actions now return the note’s Properties as well. ### Better post-workflow handling (iOS only) In the Settings tab, you can now specify what to do when the application detects that one of its actions is the last block in a workflow, and that workflow has finished. - Do nothing (the default) - Go to Home screen - Open Obsidian - Open Shortcuts - Run shortcut

Fixes a bug that prevented Actions for Obsidian from "blacking out" during workflow runs. (Hiding AFO’s interface while actions are running makes the "app dance" less jarring). It also adjusts a few minor issues under the hood.

The Obsidian API doesn't support search, so we developers have relied on brittle workarounds to collect search results, but it's not a stable solution, especially on mobile.
