I Absolutely love word games and “Zen Words” is ABSOLUTELY no exception!!! I ABSOLUTELY love “Zen Word” SO VERAY MUCH that I not only have downloaded it on my computer but have it on my iPhone, too!!! I love ABSOLUTELY everything g about this game!!! The music is SO soothing!!!The game is challenging. I ABSOLUTELY love the many “helps” there are to help yo8 find the words you need to find although if I do use one, I usually do the advertisement so it will help you since you’re helping me the way you do. I like all of the side games and bonuses. I ABSOLUTELY love many different types of bonuses this game has. I ABSOLUTELY love the side games and challenges this game has. I love SO VERY MUCH all of the side games this game has. I ABSOLUTELY love the additions you continue to add to the game like the airplane that “flies” by with the banner that has messages on it!!! I ABSOLUTELY love this game SOVERY MUCH that I will play the computer version with the iPhone version at the same time!!! To put it succinctly, I ABSOLUTELY love this game!!! Those naysayers who wrote the negative and poorly rated reviews ABSOLUTELY. Do NOT know what they are talking about!!! I have not encountered even one problem with this game! Zen Word has been a go to game for me. Up to this point changes have been annoyances. There is a philosophy in recreation called the “flow model” where a person becomes so involved in what they are doing that they feel gratified and at peace almost to or totally engaged. The original game did that for me. Even when changes that annoyed me occurred I enjoyed the game and could stay focused for long periods of time. Banners going across the play area block the game with announcements that do not enrich the game for me. Being essentially cut out of the play in the fish game so that I never score anything unless no one is playing becomes an annoyance because it interrupts the flow of the game. The change that really annoys me is being moved to expert where the game has serious limits on what word can be played, less rewards resulting in coins or an ad that can be close to 2 minutes long even if it is just showing a single page to get to the long length or 2 ads that make it seem incredibly long time away from play. I also purchased a lifetime of no ads but I still see them in the regular play. In my book, many of the ads are inappropriate--especially for a 9 year old which is the minimum age suggested in the app store--and many are scams.I began playing Zen Word because I have been involved several MVAs that have affected my spelling. There are other spelling games that are not as enriching that I will go back to. If I return and find I am no longer in the expert category I will play again.

I purchased the no-ads option of the game. Since it was only 99 cents, I planned to put Zen in my folder of regularly played games. However, as I hit the final acceptance, I noticed that just then it told me that it was only for one week and clicking it would make it a subscription. I did not appreciate the social engineering and will be cancelling.   Also, for a game that purports to be calming and Zen, there is little to no time to play the game without hints being given for free where none were needed. If I pause to take a phone call, the screen is updated to give me pushes and hints instead of letting me relax and enjoy. In addition how relaxing is it to have a game tell you how quickly someone else solved a puzzle when you are working to sort out a word? My first play, I not only had ads but pushed with a lot of possible areas that would send me into ad hell if I grabbed my iPad wrong. Also, if you want to do ads in a zen game, why don't you make them for soothing things that someone who is trying to relax might enjoy? Pretty jewelry, a humidifier, soothing wall scents, pretty clocks, bath soap, etc. Even other "Zen style" games. People would be more receptive of that.   Your word comprehension is very high as opposed to other games and I was impressed with that. I will be deleting the game and will cancel weekly payments. Even if you were only selling it for a week, putting in that it was a subscription at the very last minute was underhanded. The very opposite of a Zen experience.

I like word games. I especially like word games that I actually get to play with some continuity between ads. While I have absolutely no problem with ads in and of themselves, your advertisement which was what got me to download this game falsely stated that there were NO ads (which by the way is illegal - it’s called deceptive advertising and violates consumer protection laws governed by the federal trade commission (FTC) so you really should change that ASAP before someone reports you, there are free reporting forms for anyone to use on their website so if you leave it as it is, anyone can do it at anytime), the number of ads, the placement of the ads in the game during play, and the ads that were chosen are the problem. I play many games and many have ads. That’s not the point. You can also have ads if you do it tastefully. Currently your ads are soul sucking and crushing because of the frequency and type of ads. I am a woman. I don’t want to watch ads for games where if you “win” the mini game you get to strip the woman in the picture of her clothing. And I get that ad A LOT. It’s disgusting. I also get other similar ads and I have never in my entire life looked at or played any games like that on my phone or even looked at things like that on my phone. I’m giving you a chance here to fix this, however if not I will delete your app and be completely disgusted by your company. I look forward to hearing back from you!
