more A very nice app that shows many checks you are looking for on your vehicle. One thing I am hoping that gets updated on the map section is the MPH display. At times it shows and other times it doesn't. And at times the carry over into a new speed limit is not updated. Outside of that I really like the app. It is very customizable.

I stumbled on this app on twitter of all places. It works seamlessly with my car and the developer actively looks to add new vehicles every few weeks. It's such an awesome interface and makes it easy to log trips. I think some people get confused because they open this app and they wonder why it doesn't have all the features that Google I don't think this was first and foremost meant to be a navigation app, it was meant to be a trip logging app.

Currently I use the BMW app for trip statistics/vehicle status, Waze or AppleMaps for my daily nav/traffic mitigation, and a couple OBD2 apps for scanning and live telemetry. This app would potentially be a godsend, combining all the above into one, customizable, CarPlay compatible, interface. But alas, my vehicle is not yet fully supported and there is no telling how long I’ll have to wait. Top that off with the fact that, so far, I’ve found that, yes the app is full of features, but It doesn’t really excel at any of them. Or at least not enough to sway me away from the other apps I’m currently using. Hold any widget on the map to open the new editor. Drop widgets into any zone, and tap one to set its size and behavior. Stock widgets are used until your car has a tuned kit.
▶ Dashboards and head unit mode
Dashboards are full screens of widgets you can place anywhere, with separate layouts for portrait and landscape. Turn your phone sideways for head unit mode, which shows the map and your dashboards.

The speed widget shows your current speed next to the posted limit. The new widget can show speeds from OBD or GPS, and can be trimmed up to match your speedometer.

Department of transportation data is now published to the Pelican map automatically, and municipal road status is rolling out to more cities, states, and countries every month.

Units & Regional Display

This is Sidecar's biggest update ever, here's a list of new features to try:
## Phone navigation
No CarPlay, no problem! You can now get turn-by-turn directions on your phone in Sidecar's Map tab.
## Volvo connected accounts
Volvo drivers: you can now log in to Sidecar with your Volvo account to access vehicle data and lock your car remotely.
## Pinnable locations
You can now pin and rename places on the map. Custom names will be used when searching, so if you've set up a "Home" pin then searching for "Home" in CarPlay will now take you where you expect to go.
## Intelligent Quick Destinations
Quick Destinations now use on-device intelligence to suggest destinations based on your travel patterns, making it easy to get in the car and go.
## Upgraded search engine
Search engine results are now ranked based on your personal driving habits, travel distance, and various other factors.
## iCloud backup state panel
iCloud backups will now report their progress in a new floating panel.
## Improved onboarding notifications
You'll now only receive parameter notifications when new parameters are available for your vehicle, and the notifications will open a sheet showing which parameters were added.

Hold any widget on the map to open the new editor. Drop widgets into any zone, and tap one to set its size and behavior. Stock widgets are used until your car has a tuned kit.
▶ Dashboards and head unit mode
Dashboards are full screens of widgets you can place anywhere, with separate layouts for portrait and landscape. Turn your phone sideways for head unit mode, which shows the map and your dashboards.

The speed widget shows your current speed next to the posted limit. The new widget can show speeds from OBD or GPS, and can be trimmed up to match your speedometer.
