TL;DR: if you want a web browser that is thoughtfully designed and doesn’t require a bunch of extensions to make the web even remotely tolerable, use Quiche Browser.I have always had a difficult time with the web, especially on mobile, because of how laborious it is to combat the endless corporatism and advertising showed down your throat every minute of every day. The web turned from a place of discovery and communication into an infinite stretch of highway billboards. I’m 99% convinced that most people’s difficulty with ‘mobile device addiction’ stem from just how horrible it is to use the web on your phone. It’s impossible to manage without dozens of extensions or scripts or other modifications, and even so it feels kinda futile.Finding Quiche Browser has been like finding a glass of water in the desert: it’s simple yet so, so meaningful. I greatly appreciate that it does everything out of the box. The content blocker hasn’t let me down yet, the customization of menus enables me to put the controls I care about front and center, and it’s clear to me that the app is designed by someone who cares about doing a good job. In a world that seems to celebrate mediocrity, I really appreciate that Quiche Browser exists. I’m super glad to hear that it’s coming to iPad as well, especially because browsing the web on iPad is one of the primary use cases for that form factor, and my one wish would be that it also comes to the Mac so I can surf the internet in peace. Thanks for putting in the work to make Quiche Browser!
A minimalists dream

tl;dr An incredibly creative and well crafted browser with tons of potential from a developer who caresI want to start by saying, I can’t believe this app doesn’t have more attention. I was reading an article that popped up talking about this app. It sounded unique and immediately piqued my interest when it mentioned “customizable browser”. I honestly have been looking for something like this for years and I’ve tried everything but nothing could convince me to stay. I ended up sticking with Safari purely because of continuity, a slightly feeling of minimalism, and functionality. However, Quiche is truly unique with its simplicity. Just the mere fact that you could move the back button to the other side of the address bar sold me. Along with that, there’s tons of other options and ways to make it your own. The cherry on top for me was the care from the developer. I had a couple questions regarding some functionality in the app and was able to contact him directly through his instagram. He took the time to answer my questions along with taking any feedback and requests. Sure, the browser is missing some things but I’m not worried in the slightest that it will stay that way. Keep up the good work
Developer Response
It was very nice chatting on Instagram the other day 😊 Thank you so much for taking the time to write that incredibly kind review, and your great support!
Instant Safari replacement.

Fantastic alternative to Safari! I’m loving the simplicity and customization of Quiche Browser so far. It’s exactly what I’ve been looking for. I wanted something that didn’t stray too far from what I’m used to in Safari. It’s very minimal and doesn’t overwhelm you with unnecessary features or bloat. Looks wise, it fits right in with the iOS design language and implements Liquid Glass from iOS 26 very well, plus you can disable it if you’d prefer. But the strengths here are your customization options. There are tons of ways you can configure the nav/tab bar and the menu. I’ve really been enjoying the ability to dial in my settings and how I’d like the controls to be laid out. However what truly sold me on Quiche was the prompt reply and direct implementation of feedback from the developer Greg. He’s so kind and provided very detailed notes on my feedback. I truly appreciate that. I love to support great software from great developers. Really loving the browser so far, I highly recommend trying it and I look forward to what’s in store!
One of the best ios browsers
SocialAwareness
I love this browser. It’s the best looking and highest quality third party browser on the App Store right now. It is so customizable too. However I only reserve it for simple and similarly designed websites I have accounts on. It maintains the aesthetic of the webpage and the isolated tabs make it perfect for logging in to sites. I will def keep quiche in my mobile browser lineup. I do have some suggestions that are important to me. I really am hoping we can add our own ad blocklists eventually. The ones built in are good but in my opinion not enough, I would like to have my normal block list lineup on here. Additionally, the ability to whitelist sites when deleting web data / cookies. Maybe for content blockers too. If these were included, I would definitely have quiche as my main browser. Also, it would be amazing if eventually personal userscripts and extensions were integrated. Of course that may be a little unrealistic given the other modern iOS mobile browsers but between Quiche and Orion, I have hope!!
In Classic theme, web pages now extend behind the status bar to the top of the screen.*
Fixed:
Searches from Spotlight did not open in the default search engine in some cases. (Thanks, Holden!)
