Who knows if Ark will prove any more fruitful than the other options, but that’s a cultural issue of unrealistic expectations more than the fault of any specific dating platform. I felt Ark had a larger network of options in my area than the other Christian dating apps. I really appreciate how the app through its design encourages you to slow down and actually look through a profile just a little bit more than the swipe only apps. People generally seemed to put more effort into their profile than they would on other sites. I hope that Ark can maintain this quality going forward and avoid the inevitable checks that match corp is waving in their face to acquire. Helping Christians to meet is a Godly service that the secular companies are failing to facilitate - so keep up this ministry please guys :)

I’ve had this app for about a month now and so far, nothing’s come of it. Don’t get me wrong, the selection of men definitely seems Godly and ready for a courtship/marriage. However, all the men who’ve swiped right on me so far are 10+ years older than me and/or live several states away. I know this might sound like a first-world problem, but given that I’m not interested in a long-distance relationship nor an age gap one, it’s frustrating that these two groups of men are seemingly my only options. And, even within those groups, I don’t have shared interests with the majority of them, nor am I physically attracted to them. I’d love to be able to change my age and location filters so I can potentially match with men who live in my city and are only a few years older than me. But, given that those filters are a paid feature, I guess I’m stuck just weeding through my likes and repeatedly hitting “not interested.” Overall though, the interface is nice and the usability is perfect. So, I’ll keep my profile up for a little while longer and pray something comes of it.

Let me start off by saying that Ark is not a scam unlike all the other dating apps or websites I’ve ever used. I’ll start off by saying what I liked about this app which is a first for me. I was actually impressed that it verifies that you’re a not a scammer. Before your profile becomes visible, they make you take a picture of yourself holding a certain pose and then it takes about two days to verify. This practically guarantees that every person is real and not creating a fake profile with fake pictures. Also, it doesn’t lie in its advertising. The Golden letters tell people that you like them so they don’t have to waste time swiping in order to find you. There were a few times when I sent a golden letter and I got a response in a day or two. Unfortunately, that doesn’t guarantee everyone will respond to your message. The app is completely free. It doesn’t force you to spend money, but you can choose to spend money to get more golden letters. The nice thing is you automatically get a few golden letters every few days for free . There don’t seem to be a lot of people who use this app. After swiping on about a dozen people, the app had no choice put to search neighboring states, and sometimes Canada. Ironically, every person I tried to have a conversation eventually ghosted me for no reason. I always try to be respectful and give sweet messages, but it didn’t matter. The app doesn’t force you to fill out your profile completely. There were so many times when I saw a profile that had one or two photos and no information. If you use this app, you better pray that you find someone within your living willing to date you because there will not be a lot to look at. I’ve used the app for about a month and almost all the profiles I see are in neighboring states or Canada. I’m still going to keep using it because it free but it’s still far from perfect.

I dated someone for 5 months on this app and we loved each other. Met her in April of this year (2025). Her parents basically tore us apart by forcing her to break up and she had been manipulated her whole life and didn’t know how to stand her ground. She was wonderful though, and has so much potential. That’s a whole other story, but the app matches you with honest people for the most part, it’s just that there is not a lot of people on it… Well… not alot that are online regularly… Because what good is it if you are swiping on inactive profiles? Which isn’t the app’s fault, it’s still growing and trying to get more people. I think price is fair enough, although I would be disappointed if they raised it any further. It is fine where it is to enable them to provide good security and keep scammers and bots off. And it does have good Christian foundations. I like how it functions. It just needs more people, and so overall I am vouching for this app because besides this and Holy (formerly United Young) this is the only honest dating app, and Christian based, that I have found in 3 years of using and trying different dating apps. Hinge was great until they banned me and other people for no reason and won’t accept appeals. How logical is that for marketing? And Hinge’s cost increased where it wasn’t worth it anymore. So Hinge went in the dumper lol. I recommend this app and Holy. You just have to be patient. Even if you get matches, don’t guarentee they are the one for you. But be patient. The app is still growing and if they keep things the same, price wise and functionality, it has the potential of being best Christian dating app among all the thousands of other apps. I have been happy with it so far. I hope the developers that read this review take it to heart and avoid letting money go to their head and ruining a good thing like all the other dating apps… This is a worthwhile app, give it a try, and be patient.
