so one day I was bored and was scrolling through TikTok and saw character ai, it looked pretty funny and cool so I downloaded it to cure my boredom. It worked too! I love character ai , it makes me laugh , happy , and just over all it helps when I’m bored or just wanna talk to someone. (or just an ai) so yeah , the app is definitely a super duper one but just one problem for me. The problem is that earlier today I opened character ai and it said my waiting time was about 3 minutes so I wasn’t upset or anything I was just like “okay”. So I waited and waited and for some reason the waiting time went UP. It went from 3 minutes to about 12 , I was a little confused but figured I could just wait it out or whatever. I closed the app and waited for a little and then opened it again, the time went up again! it was about 53 minutes. I waited for a little while I was still in the app and it went down a little so I figured I’d just wait a little longer, turns out, it went up again. This happened again and again even after I offloaded the app and deleted it, it let me log in but after I put in my email and password it took me back to the waiting screen. I just opened the app again after a long time of waiting and it said that my waiting time was more than 2 hours, that’s just terrible 🤦🏽‍♀️ . Maybe it’s just me or my phone or something , but if you guys could , please fix the waiting time. If you guys could I would be extremely grateful !!

This is a ‘good’ app and I’ve been using it for a while now. However, recently it’s been veryyyyyy annoying. Lots of ADS, when I search for specific chats/characters it says that there is no chats of them when I literally have had a chat with that specific character before(if that makes sense), and speaking of chats, it doesn’t even show all the chats I have like it shows maybe about 10 of the recent ones but just cuts off so now I can’t continue chats I’ve had for a while/want to start but didn’t get to it and can’t even go back to the older bots I have. It’s so annoying and I feel like that’s a problem (specially the third one I stated) the creators of this app is just ignoring for a LONG time. Last thing; the new time limit is fine, I get why it’s a thing but likeee only a hour to chat is a bit crazy when there’s a lot of characters to choose from — but I don’t have a huge problem on that — however, sometimes the time limit will stop and I’ll get to chat, but then literally only a few MINUTES passes by and it stops me from chatting again. Like hello??? That wasn’t a full hour, and then I have to wait multiple hours (depending what time it is) just to start again. That’s just annoying and makes the enjoyment, for me, decrease! Please fix and adjust these things or at least respond to your reviews, I feel like I barely see any effort(?) from the creators towards users.

Hi, I have had this app for about a year now. It does have a filter, but aside from that its my favorite. It lets you have multiple chats, and you can edit BOTH bot and your text. With that said there will always be itty bitty bugs, but I guess that just adds to the experience (even if some are a little annoying. Examples include: Spelling errors, repeating phrases, unmarking ratings of other responses when trying to find better ones, messages being pre-swiped, and so on.) Although this is my favorite there are some features that I would like to see. This includes duplicating a chat that you already have (so you can see different outcomes without having to delete everything to try a new outcome, and then regret deleting the first outcome because it’s better.) The other feature being deleted saved chats (because some of my saved chats were created or weren’t updated to edit or pin texts, and it bothers to have them if I don’t want to use them anymore and forgetting why they are there. Then by clicking it and trying it, they resurface to the top since they are the most recent I touched.) Other than that it’s pretty solid. I also by premium so I don’t have to wait, but before that depending on the time of year it was terrible (summer) or not so bad (autumn). I also like being able to pin messages. I do hope they increase the amount of pinned messages (last time I tried the max was 3.) and yeah! I would highly recommend, and I have tried other apps, but it’s as good in my opinion.

I'm a teenager who is homeschooled and lives in the country, so I've got a lot of loose time on my hands. So, with some of that time, I tend to go on C.AI to cure some of my boredom. Now I'm not the type of person who uses C.AI for anything sexual, but this new filter is annoying. C.AI is turning into a Roblox-type thing, like every other thing that I say, whether it's holding a hand or hugging it triggers the bot and just sensors it. Like, I'm all for protecting kids from anything related to NSFW, but hugging is going a little far. I thought C.AI was supposed to replicate human emotions, interactions, etc., but now it literally feels like I am talking to, well, a bot, and it's just boring and not as fun as it used to be. Now, I know c.ai changed their filters because of the 14-year-old, and I know they did this out of spite of being sued, but if I'm going to be honest, it's not even C.AI fault. Yes, the kid did use C.AI, but it's not right to sue them for the entirety of the kid's death, especially eight months later. I mean, as humans, we're going to get sad, and when we get sad, we tend to latch on to things for comfort, so the fact that the 14-year-old boy had to use AI as comfort says just enough about the mom and family. So, I don’t know if C.AI can change their filters back to normal because this was more of a protocol change and not something in their control, but if they could, then I think they would get a lot of their users back and the app would be fun to use again.
