With Car Care, you can:
* track as many automobiles as you want, of any make or model
* calculate fuel economy using miles, kilometers, liters, or gallons
* fuel economy reports in MPG, L/100 km, MPG (UK), and Km/L
* graph your fuel data
* get detailed statistics, including a breakdown of how different fuel types perform in your vehicle, enabling you to make smart decisions at the pump
* remember important vehicle maintenance actions
Car Care reminds you when to perform any type of scheduled maintenance action to help your automobile achieve its best performance. Reminders ensure you do not forget your automobile's health. The app icon shows a small number of how many service entries are past due.
Eliminate paper clutter in your life and let your iPhone take care of your vehicle's health! The iPhone will act as a little storage cubby for all your automobile's maintenance data, whether you drive a pickup truck, car, semi, motorcycle/motorbike, Ford, Toyota, Dodge, Chevy, Prius, BMW, Mustang, or any other auto.
I have been using this app for years and never considered switching to something else. I lost all of my data when my phone crashed a year ago and the Genius Bar had to force a restore of iOS. After spending about 15 minutes trying to get the app to actually save my VIN and a photo of my vehicle, I’m considering switching to another app that is actively updating at least annually. Three years is a long time to let something sit and pray that it will still work and not lose my data again.
Can’t Import Data to New Phone
JG-52
I replaced an aging iPhone 4s with an iPhone 12 this week. Since I couldn’t import the apps and data directly into the iPhone 12, I used the Car Care export feature to save the data on a car to a tab delimited text file. I had to pay for a new version of Car Car for the new phone, but was happy to do this since my wife and I have been using the app for all of our cars. Unfortunately, the web-based import feature is broken and I can’t import the data collected since the car was new. I can upload the formatted data into the KarlBecker utility with no problems. When I submit the form so I can receive an ID number and password so I can import the data into the phone, I see a mostly black screen with no information. While I have been happy with Car Care for many years, the inability to restore historical information after replacing a phone is a huge deal breaker.
I like it, but it needs work.

I've been using this for years. I find the number entry a little weird, hitting the decimal when going for 0. It just seems off somehow. I also have to enter the $0.009 digit for price per gallon at every fill-up. It'd be nice if it was just understood and shown that way on the screen. The coup de gras for me though was that after buying 4 new tires, I got a rotation reminder 100 miles later. That should have been reset automatically after any tire purchase. Doing multiple maintenance items from one service is a pain to enter. I just don't feel like this has been as well thought out as possible considering the number of years it has been on the market. I'm using my new car as a reason to change to something else. Good luck.
I have had it a long time

I have this car care app a long time.... when it first came out. Over the years with different phones and updates I have had numerous times it doesn’t save the VIN. It’s not a recent update causing the problem. Today I added another vehicle. It didn’t save the VIN.... then it didn’t save mileage. Finally got it to save the VIN after numerous tries. Then it crashed when I loaded the photo. Tried this about 6 times. Re-booted the phone after I closed all the open apps. It still crashed the app when I loaded a photo. Tried loading several more times..... it finally took the picture. I am afraid it will still lose the info like it has done on other cars I have. I have around 8 vehicles loaded.... maybe that’s too many!
