There are relatively few mortgage calculators available. This one is far and away the best. This allows you to specify any variable and calculate the effect of this on the final variable. I could not find any other app that offered this flexibility. For example, if you pay an extra $100 each month, by how much would you reduce the term of the mortgage? If the interest-rate lowers half percent, how much will that affect the monthly payment. Or alternately with the same payment how much will that reduce the term of the loan. All these things are calculable on this app. You don't need any other mortgage calculator aside from this one.

This app allows you to time-money interest calculations and solve automatically for whichever variable you skip. It's brilliant. I have used it for years even though there have been no updates since 2012. It doesn't even fit the new larger screens on the iPhones released since then. Despite this, and despite having occasionally searched the App Store for a more modern app, I have not seen a better app to serve this function. Unless the developer updates it, this app will die with the release of iOS 11. I am probably not the only one who would be willing to pay for an update.

Loan-U-Later is simple to learn. It allows you to accumulate prior calculations for comparison of interest rates, etc. or just when you get drawn off a investment thought the calculations are saved to a list. Most handy! And, the app support is timely. I asked how to clear some calcs on the list and the creator pointed out the obvious to dim me. Live and learn! Thanks

Not flashy at all. But that is the beauty. You just enter all your variables except the one you want calculated and boom: you have your answer. It's nice to see the amortization table too. It helps you realize quickly how banks are able to build such nice building :-)
