Things I like about iShoot:1) There is no time pressure, because each player takes turns getting off a shot and has unlimited time. Very polite and civilized. 2) There is no panicky need to try to dodge shells, because you can’t move. Just sit and wait for your fate to fall from the sky.So really, you take all the time you want to set a trajectory angle, consider the wind speed and direction, and hold a button and release it when a progress bar gets to the amount of thrust you want behind the shot for distance. It’s really identical to a video golf game, except instead of a ball rolling into a little hole, you get to drop a tactical nuke on someone. There’s even a roller bomb, which could be compared to a chip shot to the green.It’s straight outta 1988. Good for us older kids who are less about reaction time and more about sitting in a control booth and blowing stuff up.Not for the adrenalin freak, though I do end up getting pretty excited. And laughing out loud at times. Someone downgraded it because the distance control is hard to use. But c'mon, you need to have SOME hand/eye coordination, or it would just be entering numbers and getting the satisfying bzzzz of the vibration when you hit someone. (Someone else wanted to be able to turn off the vibration, and I agree; in the meanwhile, I turn it off in the iPhone ring settings and just have to remember to turn it back on if I want my phone to buzz.)

A few things, first, the game is fun to play with a few complaints.First and foremost, the computer chooses the STINGER weapons 80% of the time, problem with this is, each time itchooses this weapon, it takes ~10 seconds to fire them off. There should be an option to speed up this process similar to the way the iPhone SPEEDS up once the human is out. :10 seconds time 3 computer players= :30 seconds of waiting. Not fun.2nd, the power button should have options to slow down resulting in accurate power. Otherwise, potential for a great game. Won't consider buying until these issues are addressed.

Wow. This is an amazing take on that Flash game we all played in class instead of paying attention. What's neat is that this is a pretty good game for just a demo/lite version. What's better is that this has sold me on the full retail version. More games need to have "skeleton" demos like this. Instead of offering just one minute of gameplay or just a stage, having a low-end demo with a few features was enough to whet my palette. Now once I buy more Apple Money, I'll grab the full game. As for this demo itself, I found it to be pretty good on its own. The quotes above the tanks as they attack/get hit/die is cute, and it was neat to watch the ground actually slide away when it was destroyed instead of leaving a "Swiss cheese" landscape with impossible gravity. Makes sense, as someone ambitious could attempt to burrow into the ground and make a hollow sniping cavern. I hope the full version will be as fun as this was!

For the people who want to buy the full version & the people who think pocket tanks is better than Ishoot:1: ishoot came out 1st on the iphone/itouch2: ishoot is less expensive than pocket tanks and is way more fun3: ishoot might have less weapons than pocket tanks ~> but <~ ishoot has a weapon editor, which means you can literally make as many weapons as you like ( they give you so many choices i really cant create every possible combination and ive made like 300 lol )4: ishoot is a great game, it never got boring ( since i bought it a year or so ago ) and youve got so many ways to modify your gameplay that it cant be su*ky. Note: if you dont like ishoot because it has no volume or sound, its a bug, theyll fix it. And if you dont like this game because you like pocket tanks more, then dont play ishoot and stop making comments saying it su*ks ( i bet you dont even take the time to try out the full or even the lite version >< )Ishoot is an awesome game. Its fun. Its entertaining. And if you dont like it, ill hunt you down and make you buy the app myself...just kidding ;)
