This is a very solid and thoroughly enjoyable snooker game. It's a niche (in America) so I can understand the $4.99 price point, the hope is that the game keeps improving with updates. What it lacks in final presentation and polish it certainly makes up for in the core gameplay.Controls are excellent and the feel of the table and the ball physics are nicely done. With practice you'll soon be playing cool positional shots and making large breaks. The 3D table visuals are good, as are the sound effects of the clunk of the balls and the pockets. Shot aiming, spin and power are all very intuitive and make the gameplay experience feel very smooth. Opponent AI is a bit wonky at times but it's not a huge deal. At $5 this game needs work! There are many pool game variants to choose from in the appstore so why choose international snooker? The graphics in this game are not as good as other iphone pool games (2/5). The sound is terrible compared to other iphone pool games (1/5). The physics feel right and could be perfected (4/5) but are really let down by the lack of graphical detail. The control mechanism is also almost perfect (4/5). It's very easy to control cue ball accuracy and spin. However, there needs to be a zoom-to-behind the object ball perspective for checking the angles. You can look from above with the top-down perspective, but the graphics, again, are not very impressive. Developers need to get on top of the graphics from the baize right through to the background; and definately the sound too. If the game was released at .99c as is, and with developments in progress, I'd be happy. But, I feel I've spent too much here. The good news is that the game will be amazing if the developers decide it's worth the effort.

Beatifully rendered snooker table. Very nice ball physics, and, what appears to be a nice set of snooker rules. The only item that appears to missing is a very fine control for aiming the shot, it seems a bit course. Overall initial impression is very, very positive.FOLLOW UP REVIEW...I've been playing this constantly since it became available. In my opinion, It has surpassed Virtual Pool for playability. Once I found the fine tune control, I was off and running. I now have 3 bronze cups and 1 gold.I love the camera movement, where it zooms in on your object ball and, if needed, other viewing options are readily available....very dynamic!I've downloaded all the billiard apps, and this is the one that draws me back in......time after time.I'm going from 4 to 5 stars.

I absolutely love this game. Along with Virtual Pool my iPhone now has every billiard game I need! The gameplay is incredible, my only request would be some stats to track number of centuries, average break, etc. to have something to continually improve on. Again, thanks so much this is a great game!
