Convert units by sliding a scale under a needle.
Unit puts conversion at your fingertips: drag or flick a scale, tap a mark to snap to it, and read both units at once. No typing needed, though you can tap a value to type one.
The companion for travellers, scientists and students, and for anyone living between two systems of units.
Features:
- Temperature, Speed, Length, Volume and Weight on dual scales
- More than 700 units in 49 categories: pick any two units for one scale
- Clothing, shoe, bra and ring size tables
- Compound values (feet and inches; hours, minutes and seconds), and hexadecimal, octal and binary numbers
- Instant search by name, symbol or synonym, in ten languages
- Measure: live speed and altitude on iPhone, distance to a place or from where you are, and a true-size ruler
- iPad sidebar and resizable windows
- VoiceOver, Dynamic Type and Dark Mode
Privacy: Unit collects no data. Your location is used only on your device, only while a measurement is open.
I've had this app back on iOS 3 and I've used it til this day. It's really handy with TONS of units and the mini calculator is welcomed. Thanks for keeping this app supported.

My First Review
West Michigan Traveler
I have downloaded many apps from iTunes since getting my iPhone 3G at the end of April, but I have never written a review... until now! I had gone through several other apps and combinations of apps to try to find one program that did currencies, US/Metric and clothing sizes. This one does all of those beautifully, and with a nice, easy user interface. Some of the conversion units are probably more than the vast majority of users will ever need, but they are fun to play with, and it's nice to know that they are there, "just in case!" I was also happy with the extensive list of currencies available for conversion. I track the Colombian Peso, the Russian Rouble and the Euro on a daily basis, so I was thrilled that all three were on here. Nice job, Arizona Software! You gave us a great app and allowed me to delete three others off of my iPhone and simplify my life! Thanks!
Unit 2.1 is ready for the iPhone Duo and now speaks Arabic and Hebrew.
- Fold the iPhone Duo part way and the scale glides to one side of the hinge, with the readings on the other; unfold and they glide back
- The ruler shows true size on both iPhone Duo screens
- Now also in Arabic and Hebrew, laid out right to left
- Small refinements to the ruler and Measure
