321Run helps you run by monitoring your goals : set yourself a distance or duration goal, and your coach will tell you your progress, each km or each mile, every 5 minutes.
The custom trainings will allow you to have precise directions from your coach when you need to run, walk, run fast. For faster trainings, it will tell you when to cool down and when to reach your max speed and heart rate frequency. Trainings come as programs to help you make progress gradually.
An indoor mode allows you to record your perfs on a elliptic bike.
During the run, you may press the screen to know your progress : how long and how far you are, what's left, double tap to skip the music easily, or you can switch it off to conserve battery.
When you are finished, show your stats on your iPhone's main screen or check them on your performance screen. You can also export them by email. Review your history, your progress, total calories, speed and graphs to compare speed and altitude. See and browse your pas runs on the full screen map. Export your runs to many services.
This app can still record your runs while in the background mode (not the app on your screen). Continued use of GPS running in the background can dramatically decrease battery life. Make sure you stop to record your run if you put 321Run in the background.
This app can connect to the Health App if you would like to record time length, distance, calories of your runs.
3,2,1 Run is created by Cyril Godefroy in Paris, France.
I've been using this app for about 3 months now. (Paired with a Wahoo Bluetooth heart rate monitor). The interface is pretty good and the way it stores information is really fantastic. I love the gps integration and being able to see my run history. The information it tells you as you run is also great for setting a pace and sticking to goals. Here are my concerns:I regularly have to restart my device to get the bluetooth device to pair with the program. What I mean is that if I launch the app and the device pairs, it very rarely will pair again the next day ( or the next time I launch the app) with out rebooting the device. Simply quitting the app or turning bluetooth on and off does not work. There seems to be a disconnect between the miles and kilometers conversion. When I have it in "miles mode" it doesn't allow me to choose a work out mode that is in miles. When I have it in "miles mode" and choose a kilometers workout, the distances it tells me I have run and have yet to complete are a total mess. This leads me to the other problem I am suspicious of. Based on every other method of estimation, 321run seems to regularly over estimate how many calories I have burned. It may also over or under estimate on distances as well. (I thought I ran a sub 5 minute mile the other day only to look it up on google and find out the distance was at best .9) This may be a function of the mismatch in conversion or the accuracy of iPhone GPS.Over all happy with the product but I am going to test others. Would stick with 321Run if these issues were resolved/explained. ( or I find out all the other programs have the same issues!)
Why the wifi
Diprivan
this app is ok, but makes it more crappy/mediocre when it has to use wifi in order to send my data to trail runner app. i also use the nike plus app and i have NO issues sending data to the trail runner app. i do not want to use wifi. can you fix this so it can use the same protocol like the nike plus app???? let me know.
Great running app

I bought this as soon as it came out. It provides and easy way for me to log and map my runs. I love the feature of being able to export your runs to trailrunner so you can analyze your runs later on. It also exports to a standard gpx file as well as to TrailMapping.I use it with an armband. It can take a bit long to aquire the gps signal fully, even after using the Maps app to get it started.I would recommend starting with a well charged iphone as using the gps does drain the battery within a couple of hours.
Great start for a running tracker / trainer app...keep up the good work

321Run provides the kind of training and instruction that really helps keep me motivated. I can focus on running while the software keeps track of my training program, and I get to decide what to listen to for running music. GPS tracking is pretty decent, but not perfect in my area (an that is in open park, not blocked by buildings). A couple of suggestions: for the weight setting, the slider is too hard to adjust; a scroll wheel dialogue would be easier. I would also like it if it could announce the current time, maybe after two clicks to the screen (when I'm running I have my iphone strapped to my arm and I'd like to know the current time without stopping to look.
