Reliability and HalalRank polish. What's better • Sign-in is much more reliable. Fewer "Too many requests" errors when signing in with Apple, email, or phone OTP — especially right after installing or reinstalling. If the network briefly throttles a request, the app now retries automatically instead of bouncing you to an empty Home. • Home loads faster on cold launch. Cut the number of requests we fire in the first second roughly in half — fewer chances for rate limits to catch us. • Apple sign-in no longer drops you into a half-logged-in state when the backend hiccups. Either you sign in fully and land on your profile, or you get a clear error and stay on the login screen. HalalRank polish • HalalRank pill no longer shows on mosques (it doesn't apply to prayer spaces). • In the Prayer Spaces tab, restaurant cards now show only the prayer-space type label — no other badges crowd the photo. • Prayer-space label moved to the top-left of the card to match the web layout. • "HalalRank 88" pill spacing tightened — used to look like "HalalRank 88" with extra space. Behind the scenes • Fixed a crash on the "Submit evidence for HalalRank" link in certain timing scenarios. • Universal Links work more reliably on freshly installed builds. • Small UX fixes around the Write Review keyboard and pull-to-refresh on Home. What's new in 9.5 HalalRank — confidence scores you can act on! • Every restaurant now shows a HalalRank score (0–100) and tier badge. Tap a place to see the full breakdown: where the score comes from, what evidence is on file, and how to verify it. • Help verify a place. From the HalalRank section on any restaurant, submit a halal certificate photo, supplier name, Instagram link, or written note. You stay signed in across to the submission form — no second login. Smaller fixes worth mentioning: • Cards refreshed to fit the new badge. "X% will return" is now a pill with the full label (used to be a small "%" circle). Trending shows as a pill with text. Hand-slaughtered moved beside the favorite heart so it has its own spot. • Place pages reordered: About → Halal summary → Halal authority → HalalRank, so the description leads. • Write Review screen: a Done button now sits above the keyboard, and the sheet expands when there's not enough room. Submit was unreachable for some users — fixed. • Tapping a zabihah.com link from Messages, Mail, or Safari opens the right place in the app more reliably. Brand-new installs pick this up on first launch. • The "Submit evidence" link from a place page now opens directly in Safari without bouncing back into the app first.

What's new in 9.4.6 • Order delivery, right from a restaurant page. New section on every restaurant detail shows quick-launch buttons for Uber Eats, DoorDash, Grubhub, Seamless, Postmates, Deliveroo, Just Eat, Foodhub, Foodora, SkipTheDishes, and EatStreet — whichever the place is on. Tap to jump straight to that restaurant in the delivery app. • Faster home screen. The grid and tab counts land sooner on launch; the "Try this" carousel fills in just after, instead of holding up the whole screen. • Snappier favorites. Switching between the Restaurants and Prayer spaces tabs is instant after the first load — no re-fetch when nothing has changed. • Universal Links. Tap a zabihah.com restaurant link from Messages, Mail, or Safari and it opens in the app on the right page. (You may need to delete and reinstall the app once for iOS to pick up this change.) • Better photo upload errors. If an upload fails, the message now tells you why — daily limit reached, network problem, etc. — instead of just showing a code number. • Stability fixes. Faster session refresh on cold launch, more reliable Facebook account linking, and a fix for a rare crash when opening certain restaurant pages with multiple delivery links on file.

Fixed in-app notifications, cleared out a lot of old code, tweaked some of the display algorithms, and some other stuff we forget.

Another major release - in addition to clearing out years of unnecessary code under the hood, we've now added hand-slaughtered badges and tags to make finding hand-cut meat even easier. Halal authority information is now more visible too.

Aside from a few bug fixes, we are releasing an early version of natural language search - just type in a search in your own words and we'll do our best to return an accurate list. We'll refine it more after Ramadan, right now Allah deserves more of our time.

Fixed a bug where the app would pull in locations around our default location (New York) upon startup instead of where you are. Kind of defeats the whole point. Anyway, fixed.
