DESIGNED FOR KIDS 3 - 10 YEARS OLD
--------------
Hi Parents,
This app will help your child recognize, spell, pronounce and learn more about 550 everyday words to strengthen his/her vocabulary.
It does that by announcing and showing your kid a beautiful, real picture with the letters that make it. As your child touches the letters and spells the picture correctly, the word begins to form at the top. When the kid completes the whole word (and even phrases), the word is spoken again in a broadcast quality, studio recorded voice of a professional voice talent. Your child can listen to this voice again simply by touching a completed card. Your child can learn more about the spelled word by touching the 'dictionary' symbol.
This app is suitable for growing kids that know the alphabets and now want to learn more words. It is a nice app for preschoolers, kindergarten, elementary and primary school children.
The words are organized in increasing order of difficulty. As your boy / girl completes a card he / she can go on to the next card simply by swiping to left. Your child can see all his / her completed cards at any time by swiping to right.
FEATURES:
1. Simple, clear, to-the-point design focused on learning.
2. 550 photo flashcard word puzzles organized in increasing order of difficulty.
3. Each card speaks in broadcast quality, studio recorded voice of a professional voice talent when it is shown and again when the word is spelled completely.
4. Musical short sound is played when correct letter is touched. A car beep is played when a wrong letter is touched.
5. A ‘Star’ and cheering sound is given after completing every 25 words. The collected ‘Stars’ show prominently on the starting page. You can easily see the progress of your child by just looking at the ‘Stars’.
6. Swipe to go to next word picture puzzle or review all previously spelled cards. A musical short sound is played.
7. See dictionary description of the word after spelling it.
8. Easily reset to start over.

My son is 4 years old and learning to read. I showed him the application by spelling 5 words, and he managed to keep on going for another 45. He was engaged. Granted, I heard plenty of "car horn" noises indicating that he had picked the wrong letter, but he was familiarizing himself with the letters, the sounds, the vowls, the consonants, and the word. The picture doesn't always tell you what the word should be. There is a picture of an oil flask, which my son thought it was lemonade. There is a red curving picture, which I thought was something else other than to spell the word, red. I think it would be wonderful to say the word before spelling, so the audience knows what is expected to be spelt, and reinforce it afterwards.
delightfully challenging

My five-year-old and I are quite fond of this app. Too many of the flashcard, learn-to-read, learn-to-spell apps are only interactive insofar as the child flips to the next image by herself. There's nothing really pulling her attention directly to the word & how it's spelled. In this app, you get a single lovely image that fills the screen & a small jumble of letters. A voice names the image, which you are supposed to spell by touching the letters in the proper order. If you touch the wrong letter, there's a honking sound. When you touch the correct one, there's a chime & the letter pops to the bottom of the screen to help make a word. You cannot progress to the next image (& word) without spelling the word correctly. The design is quite ingenious, and very simple to navigate. Every image has been turned into a tiny puzzle of letters which must be reassembled into a word. The reward is the word restated as a solution & a new image if you want one. The general effect is not flashy, spectacular, or surprising, but a quiet & gratifying slow mastery of words. The update gives parents a whole screen full of options: whether to say the word before it is spelled, after it is spelled, play music, or make helpful sounds. Nice improvements.
My son's favorite!
Me, me
He has played over and over. This app is educational. I take out one star because it is not easy to reset. I either have to remove and reinstall, or flip back 550 times to go back to the first card.
She asked to "play"!!!
Never@Home_Mom
My daughter is in language therapy 2 hours a week. She struggles in a variety of areas - and i'm always on the lookout for something she might enjoy. I picked this up and handed it to her the other day. She did about 50 in that sitting - and asked to play in the car on the way to ST. Then today, she asked to play on my Touch - and had to start over. She wasn't overly excited about that aspect - but played for about 30 minutes! (229 words!) Thank you for this App, that she wanted to continue ever as the words are getting tougher is a miracle!
This update brings a refreshed experience for modern iPhones and iPads. The app now looks great on devices with Dynamic Island, and we've made improvements under the hood for a smoother spelling experience. Requires iOS 16 or later.
