I am old school. One of my retirement rituals is going out early to my driveway and pick up the Trib wrapped in plastic. While there I wave to my neighbors while they rushed off to work… I feel their envy. Now that the paper will not be there Sunday or Monday or when I am traveling I am glad TribLive is there as close as my phone.
News is great, the app is terrible.

You can’t scroll. Because of the huge amount of ads that keep refreshing, as you scroll through it keeps popping back to the top of the page and you have to start scrolling again. Getting to the bottom is impossible if you scroll slowly. You have to zoom through the articles fast before it pops you back to the top. Then the ads are ultra repetitive. I understand the ads are necessary, but it is the same ad in between every article as you scroll. If I opened a newspaper that had only one ad in it hundreds of times, I would burn it while I still had my sanity.

Even though we have not lived in Pittsburgh for many years, we like to keep up with the latest happenings - particularly sports. This app does a great job! I have followed the Pirates and Steelers since about 1939 when I started listening to Rosy Rosewell on the radio. My wife is from Pittsburgh and I grew up in Mercer County.
