Tesla Field Meter measures the magnitude of the magnetic field using your iPhone or iPad's built-in magnetometer. It responds to both static (DC) magnetic fields and the alternating magnetic field radiated by AC electrical sources such as microwave ovens, power lines, and household electronics. The research on the adverse biological effects of magnetic field exposure, whether static or alternating, is inconclusive — so it's best to practice prudent avoidance. Low level magnetic fields are naturally generated by the Earth. Higher level fields are generated by sources such as microwave ovens and the clock radio next to your bedside. Use the Tesla Field Meter to make a qualitative assessment of the strength of magnetic field exposure in your environment. Features: • Analog meter display with digital readout • AC and DC measurement modes • 100µT and 1mT range switching • High-pass, low-pass, and moving average digital filters • Real-time magnetic field plot with interactive gestures: - Pinch to zoom the magnetic field scale in or out - Drag horizontally to scroll through recorded history - Drag vertically to shift the baseline for signals with a large DC offset - Double-tap to snap back to live view and restore defaults - Long press to clear and restart recording

Out of many magnetic field apps I use this one because the feature of being able to select AC in effect removes the earth's static field and permits just seeing the effects of AC fields, mainly ELF EMF I think. Great! Users should be aware that on AC if the sensor is moved about, the reading briefly jumps due to moving the sensor within the earth's field. No problem if you know why. Good app, developer responded quickly to questions.
