...the ability to create new templates is so helpful. An obscure need to convert recipes written in “sticks of butter” into lb-oz or grams only took a little bit of brain sweat to create a new template. Now when my recipe database scales up (or down) a recipe for me and concludes I need 54 tablespoons (or .1667 cups) of butter, I have a chance to interpret it properly while cooking. (Eventually, I switch it into grams, like a civilized human being!)Other volume conversions work beautifully for this: tablespoons into cups, Temperature conversions (freezer, fridge, room temperature, oven, broiler) are harder to do on the fly than you might imagine. Weight conversions are also nicely workable with lb-oz or decimal lbs.I haven’t tried any other converter app, so I can’t compare it. But I have bought this for iOS and OSX and had no need to look further.
Great App but is it deserted?

I paid for this app and have been using it casually for awhile now. I went to download more templates and the apps aid I didn’t have permission. I have before so I went to the App Store and tried to link to the developer’s webpage but it no longer exists. If the developer has just changed web domains then he needs to update the app and store link. If he’s abandoned the app then what a shame for all of us users. I would hope someone would pick it up. Otherwise this is a great app that deserves continued TLC. 4 for app. -1 for developer lack of support.

I have been using this app for a few years, and besides some very industry-specific measurement units, I have yet to find a conversion that I feel is missing. I also really appreciate that you can select a set of frequently used conversions. I generally like the organization of the app as well.

This is one of my most used apps. It’s simple to use. Easy to modify. And quickly displays all the variations on units one could hope for. And for the rare unit that isn’t included, it’s easy to add a custom unit or even a whole family of units.
This app has been updated by Apple to display the Apple Watch app icon.
