No WIFI network is required. All you need to do is have your bluetooth enabled on your iPad and iPhones (and your WIFI disconnected). (Also, please see Apple’s guide to using Bluetooth.)

Troubleshooting:
For best results and to prevent the app freezing you cannot have one of the paddles connected using Bluetooth and the other connected using WiFi. For example if you chose to connect via WiFi you need to have ALL iDevices (including the iPad) connected using WIFI and turn all Bluetooth OFF. Same follows if you chose to connect with Bluetooth.
Would be WAY better if the iPod/iPhone controls WORKED!

I hate this game. Would love it if it worked how it is suppose to but two player (with paddles, and without) both don't work. Only single player with paddle works and that's no fun since it's meant for practice and there is no scoring. Please fix, until then you get 1 star.

What more do I need to say? Waste of time and money. Doesn't work. Tried and tried, no luck. Even if you do learn how to play good luck teaching someone else. You're better off printing this review, crumpling the paper up, and using that as a ball and your hand as a paddle.

It's a terrible gameee, it's not like wii !!! and worst I'm sure that one game of 0.99 will be muchhh better than this one that costs 5 dollars in a game that doesn't even work , so don't buy this app cause is really hard to learn how to play and even moreee HARD to teach someone else! SO DON'T BUY IT AND I WANT MY MONEY BACK!!!!!!!
