This is one of the best business intelligence apps out there. It's designed to be used with the Microstrategy BI suite, so it's not something you can just download and use. If your company doesn't use MS for business intelligence analysis, don't bother downloading the app, because it doesn't do anything on its own. However, if you already use MS at work, you won't be disappointed by this app. It has some really slick visualizations, and is a great way to communicate ideas to people who are impressed by pretty pictures, i.e. most people. I only have two complaints about this app. The first is that it doesn't support all of the visualizations that the web version does (it uses Flash, so you can't use it on an iPad) but I think MS is working on this. It also seems to be pretty difficult to get the MS mobile apps to work outside of the company firewall, but I think that might be a problem that our IT person is having, rather than something inherently wrong with the app itself.

I've been developing MicroStrategy reports for the past 5 years for a major financial institution and love the existing desktop and web products. I actually bought an iPad to start getting familiar with this app and I'm completely blown away. Mobile business intelligence is the future of business reporting and MicroStrategy is leading the way hands down. Having tested out a few of the demos in this app, I keep thinking what manager wouldn't want this app? It gives you critical information/ key performance indicators on demand in a highly visual, interactive format. MicroStrategy is an important tool for converting raw data into information that can give any business a competitive advantage. Can't wait to begin developing apps with our company's data.

Great version for iPad ! Users... Be aware that you need to have a Relational DW in place before you can use this app for your own purposes as well as prior knowledge of Microstrategy in order to set up your own project.Microstrategy; we need to have much better support for prompts as well as nested prompts. I hope that in the future you build a product as robust as your web app.Good job !
