This game really helps you learn the fretboard. Only drawback is it freezes up and boots you out sometimes. But just restart the game, it's not like I'm trying to get high score anyway. It's worth a couple bucks!

I enjoyed playing this. It's easy to get started, but it provides the right ramp up in difficulty to be challenging without being frustrating. No need to know the guitar fretboard beforehand, although I certainly know it a bit better now!
