Unfold more possibilities on iPhone Duo. View your contacts and map side by side to plan visits, explore places, and keep field notes close at hand.
MORE SPACE ON IPHONE DUO
Unfold iPhone Duo sideways to view your pins list alongside the map. Select a place in the list or on the map to keep both views connected, then use iMap’s routes and field notes to plan your next visit.
Bring your contacts and places onto one map. iMap helps you plan visits, find nearby contacts, organize routes, and keep notes about the places that matter to you.
MAP YOUR CONTACTS
Choose address-book contacts or import a .imap, CSV, or GeoJSON file. View pins on the map, browse a list, and filter the information you want to see. Set your starting point to compare distances from your current location, another address, or a saved pin.
PLAN YOUR VISITS
Build a route from selected pins, arrange stops, preview the plan, and save it for later. Open each leg in Apple Maps for navigation.
KEEP CONTEXT WITH EACH PLACE
Add field notes, photos, and voice notes to pins so details from a visit stay with the location.
RECORD YOUR TRAILS
Record a GPS breadcrumb trail, review its path and distance, and share a saved trail as an iMap file or CSV.
FIND PLACES NEARBY
Search for useful places around a pin or starting point, and use the Location Planner to organize places before you visit.
YOUR DATA AND PERMISSIONS
Your saved iMap data stays on your device and can be exported or backed up. Apple services provide maps, address lookup, directions, and supported speech recognition. Contacts, location, camera, photos, microphone, and speech permissions are used for the features you choose. No iMap account is required.
Designed for iPhone and iPad. Location-based features require location access; maps, searches, address lookup, and directions require a network connection. Continued GPS use in the background can reduce battery life.
I've been using this app for a few weeks now and it is really very helpful. My husband is getting used to a new territory and I am able to coordinate his daily travels to customers, client stores, and vendors. I can map out an entire day in a few minutes (the biggest pain is not being able to add groups to Contacts on my iPad... which has nothing to do with this app). There is a must watch tutorial on the main screen - select Help. Tutorial is very well done and helpful. I've emailed a few suggestions that would make life a little easier and iMap more flexible... so, hopefully with a few more bells and whistles this will be a really great app... I was a little surprised after paying $4.99 and then another $4.99 for Travel Management that those bells and whistles weren't already there... but, I'm willing to wait and see what's next. I'll be crazy disappointed if I have to pay for the next version... but, again... I'll give the developers the benefit of the doubt on that. You will need to work with Contacts and iMap a little to see what works for you... for example... I created a Contact Group for each Date so that I can show only those items on a Map. From there I can add those to Travel Management and then select Stores or vendor locations from general Contact Groups. Took a little playing around... but, it works and iMap has been a really good tool for day-to-day use. I'd probably pay $10 for it again... the app is fairly easy to use -- you will have to play around to see what works for you. I'm a gadget geek and love to do that sort of stuff so it wasn't a big deal... Once you get the hang of things it's a really good tool. I do recommend the app but really hope version 5 is available soon!! For the developer... it would be really nice to be able to rename Saved Trips... time stamp is kind of meaningless when you are a month in and save 12 - 15 routes.

WOW - What an application

It took a little while to load my 800+ contacts, but it was well worth the wait. This application is FANTASTIC - well worth the asking price and it actualy does something useful - not like a lot of the junk out there. I highly recommend this application to anyone who wants to see their contacts mapped on the ipad. It is awesome looking at my customers mapped on the ipad. 90% of them live within 3 miles of me and what a display it made. I will enjoy showing it off to new and old customers.I emailed the author and he plans to work on a manual. Although it is fairly intuitive, it coulduse some instructions for us dummies.this program could very qwell be used as a GPS if it had test to speech and could read out the directions to you. It is a little difficult to use it and drive at the same time, but if you have a passenger it is great. One of the best features is that it uses Google maps which are constantly updateed so that it does not become outdated in aboput 6 months like most standard GPS systems. I just bought a new garmin for my business because it was a better than having to pay for new maps for my old one. I could have easily saved $300 if this program were just a little more advanced. After communicating with the author, I see great things in the future for this application. Get it now - you will love it.Chuck StricklandStrickland Computer Services
Just what I needed

iMap was just what I was looking for to help me visually map the accounts in my territory. Easily exported my accounts from Excel to Outllook Contacts, and then imported them to iMap which mapped them. PERFECT for helping me create my call "routes" from my 2011 account list, and saved me a ton of time over expensive software once provided by my company. Will also be great to use on "ride-alongs" to show quickly and easily where we'll be. Like the new distance and direction feature, and the ability to email a list of the accounts - which will again be handy for "ride-alongs." As other reviewers have indicated, I had questions on the app and quickly received a response to my questions and was able to actually speak with the developer by phone. Great stuff - looking forward to more features!
