So, Dragon's Lair v1 was a very authentic port over from the original arcade game. ALL WE ASKED FOR WAS IOS 11/NEW IPAD COMPATIBILITY! But, what you gave us was a completely revamped CROPPED to 16:9 experience. ARG!The iPad is 4:3 aspect ratio.Dragaon's Lair was originally hand drawn for the 4:3 aspect screen, for video arcades in the early 1980s.You've ruined the experience by cropping it to make it fit 16:9 aspect ratio.It does not fill the iPad screen anymore, the black bars actually "hide" what was originally there.We've waited a long time for an update, WHY DID YOU RUIN THIS GAME?!?I'm sure Don Bluth would not approve.:P :P :P---The game was designed for 4:3 aspect ratio. This is exactly why, when they remastered Star Trek The Next Generation for HD, THEY DIDN'T CHANGE THE ASPECT RATIO, as it was produced for 4:3 format. I was never able to finish the game in the arcade, the "Home" play option with unlimited lives gave me the ability to complete the game for the first time. I did watch some great players in the arcade get much further than me, and even finish it, but, I just couldn't get very far.The intro WAS just like in the arcade, as it would auto-play when game not in use.I even got to see the easter egg at one point, took a screenshot. :DPLEASE update for iOS 11/iPad Pro compatibility!Thanks!

The average rating is right on. It really is a 3* app. It looks great, but it’s hard to watch the graphics because u need to be watching the indicator on the control pad for your movement cues. Also, the on-screen pad is awkward at best. Wish they offered several control pad / sword alternatives. I’d prefer if it were all based around my right thumb with the sword button in the center. It would be way easier to see.

Great game, played it in the arcade. Years later, I forgot about it, then while I was browsing the App Store seeing if I could find some old games I loved, I found this. This game is awesome! Just as I remembered it! Don Bluth sure has done an amazing job with the graphics, and overall, the whole game. This game is a true classic, probably in the future great games like these will be gone sadly, and replaced by newer games. The past was great when people don't actually worked and put time into games. Also for those people always complaining about "no updates, and no bug fixes" this game is pretty old, I'm not expecting any "major updates" anytime soon.

Wonderful game that takes me back to the arcade days of my youth.A settings option to swap the directional arrows / sword buttons to opposite sides would be helpful.Also, I would love to see controller support added to the app, now that iOS supports wireless controllers... 🎮
