Oyster tasting is one of myFavorite pastimes. We would use this app quite frequently, though not all oysters are listed. However, since one of the recent iOS updates, this app no longer works! Please update the app!

I'm an oyster connoisseur--I sleep with a few inside my pillowcase every night--and yet I always forget what kind of oyster I've availed myself of that day. I do wish there was a "smell" function so I could identify the oysters based on smelling their shells afterward. Is this too much to ask for?Also, I second (and third) the other reviews about the desire for a "note" function. I prefer to take notes on my phone since paper gets soggy when I'm eating oysters. This makes me think there should be an oyster-drying app--Huzzah, that's a cracking good idea!Thirdly, and fourthly, I would like the option to review these oysters raw (as is), but also Rockefeller, steamed, etc. so I know which ones for which options--a community forum, maybe?Also, it's very rare that the app recognizes which oyster I'm eating when I rub that oyster on my screen. This seems a very basic feature. In conclusion, I'm concerned this app serves neither the oyster-neophytes nor veterans. And musical pairings?

App is Promising but needs fixing & updating. There's nothing like it anywhere on App Store but I wish instead of just "rating" function, developer could 1) add button/ counter to keep count of how many times you have a specific oyster; 2) at which restaurant where you had it; 3) date of tasting; 4) notes section; 5) most importantly, update w/ info of new oysters & others around the world!!This app has possibilities. You just need to widen them. Ever think of including clams & other seafood in the mix?

This is a very handy and nicely-designed reference guide containing pics and info on the most popular oysters from the East and West coasts of the U.S. To the users complaining about there not being enough oysters in the database -- firstly, this app has all the major oysters that a diner will likely run into when eating out; secondly, the app is a promotional tool for the nice little NYC seafood restaurant that produced it; and, lastly, it's free. So, instead of complaining, let's be grateful that someone created a useful free app.
