Scheduled transactions lets you keep track of all of your recurring bills. Set reminders so you never forget to pay them, and when your bills are due, log the payment with a click of the mouse.

Works well, great design, but text lacks adjustment

Good experience with Savings 3 usability, never any errors with information or transactions. The app contains just the right amount of features. I like the trends display a lot. I personally have not used the bank connection. Execellent visual layout -- not your eye-bending spreadsheet grid. The gray text notes line looks great.Unfortunately, the text cannot be changed in any way. I personally have a hard time seeing the brighter green text and the red is so-so. Font size cannot be changed. Also, the transaction selection is unnecessarily harsh: black-to-white text color reversal with cobalt blue in whole box. Much subtler methods exist. For example, the app highlights each account with a simple gray band -- perfect. For me, the text color is a deal-breaker and I had to move to another app that gives you great choice on text, but is much less elegant overall. I'd be right back with Savings if text color, size and highlighting could be adjusted.Four stars for great design, just missing user adjustment on visuals.
Developer Response
Hi there, these are good feedback regarding color and design. We will look into fixing it in a future update. Thanks!
Very Good

I've been using this since 2013, and am happy with it. It took me several years before I started using the Scheduled transactions, and it has simplified my tracking of bills greatly. The app has never used check numbers well, reflecting that checks are, evidently, going out of fashion, but I still use them for many of my payments directly from my bank account. The reconciliations save me enormous amounts of time, even though they have not always been accurate in matching outstanding and the equivalent "new" transactions. But it's fairly straightforward to find the error when it occurs. The program is gracefully straightforward, not requiring knowledge of double- There is a clear indication that the check number field in the program is being used for other purposes, as during reconciliations, I find that occasionally one or two check numbers have been changed, or added to deposits.
Good but needs some bugs fixed.

I like how simple everything is and how easy it is to access the guide to learn features. MY problem is all the features don’t work or aren’t static. There is an option to “Remember Last Date”, it works when you check the option, but it only works for the selected account and when you close the app that setting is lost. Also, the guide shows how to enter future transactions with a future date, but that option doesn’t work at all. The guide states to click the future date and it will be entered with that date listed. If you click the future payment it only enters for the current date and you have to manually change the date. Lastly, for me, I’d like to be able to reorder transactions, but the only way yo reorder transactions is to delete and reenter in a new order. GreenBooks is simple to use as well as a one time purchase, so I would recommend it. Although, I would consider something else if these features were present.
Good App!

I’ve tried just about every money management app in the Apple Store and found most of them seriously lacking or simply overly complicated. I ended up using Accounts 2 for several years, but needed something that would work on a Mac as well as my phone and tablets. That’s when I discovered Greenbooks. Greenbooks is simple to use and has a good balance of features. It’s biggest plus is it works on Mac, tablet, and phone, so I can manage my accounts from any of my Apple devices. However, there are two things in Greenbooks that keep it from being perfect. First, the decimals have to be entered manually when they should be automatic. Second, there should be a way to exclude select transitions from the trends and breakdown reports as can be done in Accounts 2.
