Backup is not done automatically, the user is responsible for such a backup (IDB file) using features (iCloud, Dropbox, email, FTP ...) exists in iPassSafe to avoid loss of data when device is lost, damaged or any other reason, furthermore iPassSafe is NOT providing any direct cloud service, password retrieval, or backup service for security reason (all data stored on your device only!), user need to decide where to do the backup (iCloud, user's private Dropbox account, user's diskonkey using FTP, or user's email ...), the user is also responsible for this backup safety.
3. Sync is not merging data, you have to keep all updated data on one device and use sync option upload file, then load and activate with a password on all your other devices
4. Smart auto login algorithm is compatible with most web sites
I looked at and read the reviews of many PW apps and decided to try iPassSafe and am impressed. It has an extremely intuitive interface and the features (common fields) in each account/login type are built in: for example fields for security questions. The developers did there home work when looking what information each account type requires when establishing a new account, login, etc. I was also drawn to this particular app as it does not require storing data in the cloud. Some may see that as a disadvantage, but is a preference for me.
IPass refuse to stay open for the set time interval

Because iPass ignores the time interval that I set for it to stay open, it os extremely difficult to impossibls to efficiently edit items that are stored on the iPhone app.You cannot protect against every risks. If the customer has assumed the risk of iPass staying open for a specific interval of time, it should not close until that time interval has expired, no matter what else the customer is doing on his iPhone, such as going to another app to cut and paste information from that app to iPass.I can’t believe that you use your own app, iPass, and haven’t been similarly frustrated and infuriated by this flaw. Either simply remove the ability to set a time interval during which iPass eill remain open or have iPass honor the set time interval.
Easy to use, very handy

I've used this app for over a year now and love that it is convenient to use while still providing a sense of security about my information. If I could change anything, I would improve the way data is entered, but admittedly I'm spoiled on that front with other Apple interfaces. That said, it's easy to setup and use, makes finding information quick and I'm very satisfied with the product.
Loved it until sync and crash issues

Used this app all the time. Last year it became unstable and deleted all data multiple times. Even with backups lost some data each time due to changes since last backup. Sync via airdrop no longer works. It used to be a smooth process, but now ipasssafe no longer imports the .idb file, and saves it into the iOS file folder instead. Can’t figure out a way to get ipasssafe to open the .idb file once it is saved in the file folder. Want to rate this much higher but can’t until this is fixed or a another way of syncing iOS devices is implemented.
