Mix up to four audio devices and stream live to Icecast, SHOUTcast and RTMP servers, or pass the mix to other apps on your Mac with the new Loopback Streamer.
Ladiocast is a live audio mixer and broadcaster for your Mac. Plug in your microphone, music source and other audio devices, mix them, and stream the result to your own Internet radio server while you listen to it in your headphones.
Ladiocast first appeared in 2007 and is free. Version 1.1.0 adds Loopback Streamer, which passes your mix to recording and streaming apps on the same Mac.
MIX
• 4 input devices, 4 output devices (Main and three Aux) and a routing matrix between them: send each input to the Main output and to any Aux output
• Volume sliders and level meters on every input and output, and a gain setting for each input
• Choose any channel pair of a multi-channel audio interface, or use a monaural microphone as left and right at once
• Every device is matched to Ladiocast's own clock, so that a USB microphone and Bluetooth headphones can run together for hours without clicks or a growing delay
• Adjustable latency with the Sample Frame Length and System Sample Rate settings
BROADCAST
• Icecast 2, SHOUTcast v1 and RTMP as sources
• Up to as many streamers as you choose, each with its own server, format and settings, all sending at the same time
• Ogg Vorbis, MP3, AAC, HE-AAC and Ogg Opus encoding, with constant or average bit rate, mono or stereo, and your choice of sample rate (some formats are not available on every protocol)
• Stream name, description, genre and a song title that you can change while you are on air
• Secure connections with TLS, for example rtmps:// addresses
• Elapsed time and the amount of data sent at a glance
PASS TO OTHER APPS (NEW)
• Loopback Streamer makes your mix an audio input device named "Ladiocast Loopback", which recording and streaming apps on the same Mac can choose as their microphone
• No driver to install: the device exists only while Ladiocast is running and the streamer is selected
• Use it together with the other streamers, for example to stream to your server and record in another app at the same time
• Requires macOS 14.2 or later; the receiving app needs the System Audio Recording permission
AUTOMATE
• AppleScript commands to open a configuration file, connect and disconnect
• Set the song title from a script, for example from the track your music player is playing
• An event handler script per streamer that runs when the connection drops with an error, for example to reconnect automatically
• Save and open complete configurations as files
MADE FOR THE MAC
• Dark Mode
• Available in English, Japanese, German, French, Spanish, Italian, Korean, Brazilian Portuguese, Simplified Chinese and Traditional Chinese
• Universal app for Apple silicon and Intel Macs, for macOS 13 Ventura and later
PRIVACY
Ladiocast has no account, no ads, no analytics and no tracking. Your audio goes only to the streaming server you enter, and your settings stay on your Mac. Ladiocast needs access to the microphone or other audio input only to mix and stream what you choose. Loopback Streamer hands only Ladiocast's own output to other apps on your Mac; it does not capture the audio of other apps, and Ladiocast does not ask for System Audio Recording or record anything to disk.
Ladiocast does not provide a streaming server. To broadcast you need an Icecast, SHOUTcast or RTMP server, which you can run yourself or rent from a hosting provider. The mixer and Loopback Streamer work without one.

Great, when it works
Lizow
I had this app for many years and loved it, very unique; I used it as icecast broadcaster, mixer, simple monitor etc.Unfortunately it appears that it no longer works on both of my macs! (two different versions of Sonoma, one Intel and one M1).Hopefully the developer will update it :)
Unbelivable there is a FREE utility that does exactly what we need
Zachary huh?
For the longest time I cannot understand why there is not a way on Mac that allows you to hear a real time monitor of your input. Either from your Microphone or from your capture device. I have always had to use Logic or Garageband to achieve a simple monitoring function, which not only adds a lot of system resource burden, but garageband also have the tendency to induce a great delay in longer sessions that I would have to restart the app for the delay to be eliminated. This utility introduce equal amount of delay as Logic Pro, which is still audible if put side by side to the source, but it is so minimal I think it grants a pass. And hey it doesn't cost you anything to try. It is a virtual audio mixer that have 4in/4out and allow you to direct and mix the sources and send to different output device and confirgure the connection. Also allows you to do basic mixing adjusting the volume of each input. If you send the output to the speaker you will be able to hear your mic directly -- a function I've been searching for month to no avail. So glad I finally found it.
Audiojingle
la-willy14
Downloaded Ladiocast. Opened it. A day later I’m working on some digital recordings and an option for “Audiojingle” shows up in my Sound Preferences system pane. What is this? I can’t find an adequate answer. Etrecheck says it’s probably harmless, but some have found it to be causing errors on their Macs. So I uninstalled Ladiocast. The uninstall wasn’t as easy as it could be, and I had to find the Ladiocast driver file and trash it in order to get rid of “Audiojingle". As I’m finding out “Audiojingle” is used in other sound programs. Until I know what it is I won’t be using programs tat run it.
Great Application in FREE
mohsinalam
I started using it to broadcast to SHOUTcast & Icecast. This app is great, I am so happy to found this application available for FREE and thanks to the developer.Additional Request: Add a sound device when install this software, so this device can use to sound routing(We can avoid using Soundflower or BlackHole). Bring a way to capture system sound from directly from app like iTunes, browser Etc.
• New Loopback Streamer: choose Streamer > Loopback, and your mix appears as an audio input device named "Ladiocast Loopback" that recording and streaming apps on the same Mac can use. No driver is installed; the device exists only while Ladiocast is running and the streamer is selected. Requires macOS 14.2 or later.
• The app that receives the audio needs the System Audio Recording permission; add that app in System Settings > Privacy & Security > Screen & System Audio Recording if it does not ask by itself, and check its level meter while recording.
See Help > ReadMe for how to use Loopback Streamer, and Help > ChangeLog for the complete list.
