Few things broken in v3.0 - not worth the upgrade

I've used this application for many years, starting with version 1. Believe it or not, each version gets worse and worse. It's a nice app, but basically once you get all your collections in (100+ movies, 800+ music albums and 20+ electronics for me) there's no going back, and no changing to any other system. They have NEVER had any built-in reports, which is totally inexcusable for a database program. With version 3,0, the Export functionality is broken. So, I used to export to CSV about once a year for a hardcopy backup, but as of to-day that isn't possible. You cannot PRINT anything from the program. All of my album release dates have always been entered as the YEAR only. After updating to version 3 they all now display as "Dec 31, YYYY". Awesome! And you can't change it - you cannot even type numbers in the date field, only point and click on a dumb pop-up calendar.Check out Home Inventory for a great database application - great for everything (except books, movies and movies) with nice built-in reports.
Good But a Couple of Annoying Ticks

Generally, I do like this application as a way to keep track of my media inventory. A few little quirks keep it from being perfect. For example, when assigning books to any collections that you create, after dragging a title from the Main Inventory list into the Category folder, you are not able to simply return back to the Main List to the exact place you left off. Rather, when you return to the Main Inventory list, you are thrust back to the top. This means if you have 1,000 books and are trying to slot books with M titles into categories, you constantly have to scroll from the As all the way to the Ms (or Ps or Ss or Ws) every time you move back and forth from Main Intentory List to Category folder. If the navigation functions could be improved to make the process more user friendly, I'd give this a full five stars.
Good approach, and support is back!

This is a good appliance for managing my movies. It would be more user friendly if the date fields would allow for textual entry, even if it required a particular format. Repeatedly entering “Previous Decade" over and over, eventually reaching a date (that on classics could be a half-century into history) is exceedingly tedious. Exploring the Web for the right movie template went away just before this latest release, and now is back in an even more robust format, making finding the right movie template (with the right photo that matches my movies' cover) even easier. Good on ya' for that! This is an excellent start; well worth the money in my opinion. Still, it could use some usability refinements. Keep at it, guys; but Good On Ya' for coming this far.
Good Application

I have tried many Library aplication's for the PC and the MAC, I’ve settled with this one. I can add about 12 items to the library and then I must save the file. Seems like if I go beyond 12 item the program always errors out, If the machine goes to sleep it will error out and you will loose your most recent entry’s Thats thw worst of it. Ive been a data base develper for many years and usually once ones enter data into a field it is written to the file. as you move the next field. Somehow this application does not commit your changes until you save your file. My data base is large now over 500 items and I have over 4000 more to enter. The application is getting slower and slower. I will review again when I get finished.
Minor fixes.
