Scanning for wireless networks is now easier and more personalized! AirRadar allows you to scan for open networks and tag them as favourites or filter them out. View detailed network information, graph network signal strength, and automatically join the best open network in range.
Whether you are driving around looking for wireless networks, stuck in traffic, sitting on the beach, or if you are curious how strong your wireless signal is at home, AirRadar provides a more linear approach to network hunting. Setup a scan frequency, and have new open or closed networks have their name spoken, play alerts, or display notifications.
Various other options allow you to customize your network list further, including assigning colors to best open networks and sound cues. Download it today, and take the hardship out of getting an internet connection at a critical time.

Nice utility… if you can launch it.
Cortig
The current version of the app simply doesn’t launch at all on my Mac. I contacted the support and never got any answer back from them :-\It’s a shame since the app (in the previous versions I had used) was nice and quite sueful to troubleshoot connectivity issues. It was one of the very few that allowed me to chose what BSSID to connect to on a network with multiple wireless routers under the same SSID.
Handy Utility
Mr. Mateo
I like having this utility because it seems to find WiFi signals that the airport menu either doesn't see or is slow to see. Also gives a lot more info, which can help you know how to best build a network that reaches everywhere you want it to. However, I was a bit disapointed with a bug I think I found. My MBP just had to be repaired, which made it seem like a new computer. Re-authorizing iTunes and other apps was easy enough, but each time I tried to launch AirRadar it asked for my Mac App Store password and then never launched. Finally had to delete the program and reinstall it.
My “goto” program for wireless conflict
Mack in PS
I have used this program in it multiple versions. I find it gives me all the information I need for the wireless access points visible to my Mac. The interface is easy to use and intuitive. You do need to know something about wireless technology, but if you do - this program gives you a great deal of detail. I would give it a 5 star if it had some tutorials for non-techies - then I would recommend to my non-technical friends.
Very Useful
NitPicker#1
I have used AirRadar for several years now and I find it to be an invaluable tool in identifying and solving WiFi (a.k.a. Airport) network issues. There are lots of apps that provide similar information about the WiFi environment but AirRadar provides all of the information needed in a concise easy to understand formats. The channel suggestion feature is a great time saver and invaluable when setting up wireless networks in a crowded environment.
Major internal overhaul.
