This is the most complete snd comprehensive sports app offered, IMO. A fellow reviewer eagles 1019... summed it up very well and left little to add to his great review. One other thing that I would like to add is in reference to espn (to piggyback eagles101 review). I downloaded espn app when it was fairly new and the cost was very minimal. Roughly a year after espn informed users that they were forced to add on an additional charge due to the cost of their refined new system that they were putting into place. Then about another year later they informed users there would be another increase, and of course there would be plenty of new bells and whistles. Well that increase(unable to remember $) was quite substantial and the result was the buyers flood of reviews protesting espn actions and many stating they were done with it. espn must have received an inordinate amount of mail because shortly after they blinked but also stated that they will try to stall the increase as long as possible. Again it was roughly a year (seems to be their go to strategy) then they announced it again and this time didn’t back down. With the new highly inflated increase one would think there were more pros to the app. HaHa, right.. The app was even more bloated with ads and an increase on the length of them. As with the fellow reviewer eagle101... I hope people put their foot down on these greedy, no money is ever enough thievery's. Purchasing the espn app is only cheating ourselves out of hard earned money and also it’s settling for 2-3 best. This is a great app people, load it and don’t look back. Take Care All....
Community and Twitter Feed
Chrispyyyyyyy
I’ve never written a review for anything in my life, but this bothered me so much that I had to. The new Bleacher Report update is flat out terrible if I’m being honest. The thing I liked most about B/R in the past was the community aspect of it, talking with other fans of your favorite teams. On the new interface, that aspect is buggy, hard to find, and they took out the community leaders who’d get everyone engaged in the conversation with questions and pinned posts. B/R was the only app that had this and it was fun. What that was replaced with is a robotic and buggy mess; almost as if it was an afterthought. The other thing I liked was getting the twitter feed about my favorite teams on the front page, but even that is now buggy and hard to find. The Twitter feed was also something that only B/R offered, I now have to physically go on Twitter to get my Atlanta Falcons news. Instead, they’ve decided to replace that Twitter feed being on the front page with terribly written articles from Sports Illustrated and their own in-house people. I should emphasize that the Twitter feed is still there but it’s very buggy and it’s on the last page of the community tab, it used to be on the first or second page and ran flawlessly. B/R, y’all had something beautiful, change isn’t always necessary. Please fix the community and Twitter feed and I’ll change my 3 star rating to a 5 star 😂

I am currently giving this app two stars, and may change my rating down the road, should bugs get fixed. This app has gone through an immense amount of change recently, and I would say for the most part it has been well received. Currently however, I am having to turn off all notifications from my phone settings. Why..?You may ask, is because I cannot control my notifications from within the app itself. Sure, there is an area in the app where notifications can be toggled on and off but that doesn’t matter. You can toggle the notifications for each team, or sport you follow and when you click on that team again the notifications have magically been turned back on. With an app that lets me control my feed, I should also be able to control how often I am notified. The vast majority of my notifications per day come from this app. In a world with notification pollution, I would like to be able to breathe some fresh air without having to shut the apps notifications completely off. I still want scores, and breaking news. I don’t need a notification every time a creator mentioned my team’s name in passing. I Googled to see if I was doing something wrong, and thanks to AI scanning and pulling information from various sites, it shows that this is a known issue. I checked for fixes a couple days ago and none of the “workarounds” worked. This app was updated 7 hours ago on the AppStore, so I uninstalled and reinstalled for good measure. Still the same. Let your users be able to customize not only their feed, but how it’s delivered to their device. Address the issue.

App that had so much potential
GOAT6891
The idea behind the app is top notch. It had the potential to be the best sports app out there. Between the political stances and narratives they push, shutting off comments when they want to control the narrative, the weird obsession they have of posting literally anything lebron does even if it’s not even sports related (I got an alert under “nba news” that he wore a certain shoe out of his house), alerts classified under major sports news that aren’t news (You will get alerts for bat flips classified under mlb news or highlights), most of the articles their writers put out are terrible and make no sense (it reads like they did 2 google searches and then wrote an article with strong viewpoints about what a team should do. Most fans of those teams know more than the writers of their articles), and the countless nonsensical articles about trade ideas or speculation articles, the app is ruined. It needs new leadership. The community idea where you can have public forum discussions with fans of the same team is great. The way they have the news sections broken up where you can select your team and it takes you to a page where it gathers news articles from all over about your teams (including the teams beat writers) is fantastic. Literally those are the only 2 reasons I have this app. Everything else is terrible. Great idea, atrocious execution by people that are out of touch. Like I said, needs new leadership and a remodel from the top down
