After tinkering around with the default Chinese version, I finally guessed the right buttom for language selection and yes, English is there. A suggestion for the coders: Put the symbol of language selection in the opening page, or write « English « instead of using Chinese caracteres that foreigners will not understand.
Worst ever

This is easily the worst travel app I have ever used. As an English speaker it is almost impossible to navigate as it only displays in Mandarin when you open it. Once you do eventually find an English menu the app is not mobile friendly, so navigating it on an iPhone 16 pro is extremely cumbersome. The app often requires you to perform sliding motions instead of just clicking on choices. Finally, often times the act just freezes and provides no feedback as to why it won’t process a choice. Whoever programmed this app should be fired immediately.
Terrible airline app

The China Eastern Airlines have two different apps in different Apple store. For example, if you download the US version, it will not get updated to the same latest version as the Chinese version. It crashes from time to time and you need to keep the screenshots of your order number.
App doesn’t work on iPhone

I downloaded the app and it was in Chinese calligraphy by default. That was ok, as I poked around and got it to English.Creating an account was Herculean, with many confusing questions and errors. Eventually I was able to create an account. The first problem was trying to login, since although I knew the correct info the app kept rejecting what I typed. I finally got back in using my phone number.I then tried to add my email address, which I thought I had already done. The app giving me a pop up reminding me to use the App. Huh? I was using the app 🤣I’m guessing this was written in China and not tested on any western phones. Also not that when I went to the website and tried to add my email address it reminded me to download the app!!Absolutely the worst airline app I have ever tried to use. 1 star ⭐️
