I downloaded the app on my iphone. Very nice map. I paid $2.99 for the upgrade. The upgrade came through on my iphone, but not my ipad. I contacted the app and was told, It's an Apple policy that we can only send the app one time to one kind of device. I then contacted Apple several days ago. No response from Apple. No help. These guys can get away with whatever they want. Contact Apple and they will refund your money, as they did for me.

This app is suggested by the IAmsterdam website but it's really poor. They have a nice map of Amsterdam here but you can't download it, it takes you to the website by using the in app browser. So it's just easier to use their website for this map instead.

I downloaded this map for our trip to Amsterdam and it really made getting around the city easier. The map is easy to use, has all the tourist sites listed, and is easily readable. One thing this map has that some others don't is that is list the tram line numbers for the tram stop, so you know which line is where and where it is going. Small detail, but huge difference when navigating the city.To sum it all up, definitely download this map when visiting Amsterdam. It will make your life easier.

I downloaded the free map and then upgraded to the GPS version with the thought that it would track me through town, esp as the map does not include all street names. It didn't; it kept charting my position at the hotel of origin. Also, the app does not provide any useful reviews on things to do, just objective descriptions.
