I have been using the Central Bank app since it launched, and I continue to be impressed by the company’s understanding of the user experience and how and when to make improvements. One suggestion. It would be great to access loan information from the app, as well, for those who have a mortgage or commercial loan through Central Bank.

Balance Delays

The app has improved over the years but one issue remains as a source of frustration. There are times where a scheduled bill will be removed from that list. It will also not show as pending and the amount is not removed from balance to affect available balance. This “balance delay” is frustrating as it can delay at times for several days. This can cause close calls in managing cash flow and keeping a positive balance. I understand delays in payments taking time to hit the account but when a scheduled bill leaves that list it should immediately be taken out of available balance until it hits the actual balance. I really don’t like this issue to the level of considering a bank change.

I have two different accounts but in bill pay it doesn’t state the last 4 of the account nor the full name of the account it came from so I don’t have a way to track it. I called in and they said not enough room to put the title name. Not true they have enough space on the TO line above to write who it’s going to and the last 4 of an account they simply did not program the from line the same. Bill pay says complete but what it means is sent and NOT deducted from your balance yet! So to me it’s not completed.

This is the best banking app I’ve seen. I can do everything I need to do with my bank in a matter of seconds wherever I have internet access. This will make clientele very sticky.
