A simple app that strips all metadata from supported audio file formats.
Unlike tag editors that try to remove fields one-by-one, Tag Stripper rebuilds a fresh copy containing only the audio — anything that isn't audio gets dropped by construction. That includes proprietary chunks standard tag tools don't know about.
Currently supports AIF, WAV, FLAC, M4A, MP4, MP3, AAC, AC3, and CAF audio files.
Some examples of tags that are removed: ID3v1, ID3v2, Logic metadata, Garage Band metadata, Pro Tools metadata, etc.
This app hasn’t received enough ratings or reviews to display an overview.
Fixed a broken M4A file!

I had a song I could never play in iTunes (Music app) because it couldn't read the duration or bitrate. I thought it would be a complex fix going into the file header and whatnot, but this app fixed it in 2 seconds and iTunes (Music) is happy to play it now, thank you guys!!
Needs an update

It works perfectly, but I recently received a message from Apple saying it fails some new requirement (and I assume may be removed at some point as a result).
What the hell

I used to love this app. Right now, it does not work. Maybe it is just OSX El CAPITAN but I used to drag like 40 folders and it would clear it up in seconds. Now with ESX EL CAPITAN, I cant drag anymore. I still give this 5 stars but with capitan, i dont know what happened.Anyone else?
Works as promised under High Sierra

Although the app is now 6 years old, it worked quickly and accurately and indeed stripped all the tags from the selected songs. Thanks!
• Fixed an issue where Tag Stripper could fail to strip files on certain external volumes.
• Fixed an issue where using Finder's "Open With" menu on certain groups of files could fail.
