Simply download this to your iPhone and show the App’s card at the pharmacy counter. That’s it! There’s nothing to register, no income or age restrictions, the card is ready to go as soon as you download it and there are no annual minimums to worry about. Since there is nothing to register your privacy is assured.
The BetterRxCard iPhone App works for nearly every prescription drug a physician would prescribe, including both generic and brand name drugs. That’s 60,000 prescription drugs that are available for a discount! Got pets? Did you know that 70% of the prescriptions your veterinarian prescribes for your dog or cat are approved for human use too? That means you can take those prescriptions to your local participating retail pharmacy and save on them as well.
The BetterRxCard includes everything you need to start saving on prescription drugs including a discount card, a participating pharmacy locator – which lets you call pharmacies and get directions right from your iPhone – you can share how much you saved with your social networks (Twitter and Facebook), and there is a built-in reminder to tell you when it is time to refill a prescription.
When can you use your BetterRxCard? You cannot use it with your insurance during the same transaction but anytime you are paying 100% of the cost of your prescription out of your pocket would be a perfect time to use BetterRxCard. Examples include; no or limited insurance, underinsured, or when your insurance doesn’t cover your medication. If you have insurance or Medicare Part D that comes with a requirement that you pay 100% of your drug’s cost for a limited time (examples include during a deductible period or if you are in the “donut hole”) then check with your insurance provider to see if, during these times, you may use a discount drug card like BetterRxCard.
This update from Apple will improve the functionality of this app. No new features are included.
