* * * WAIT! January 31, 2014 Update! * * *
Autodesk has discontinued their online DWF translator, called Freewheel, that this app used for years to show DWFs in all their glory to Mac users around the world. Because of this, McDwiff no longer works.
There's a chance Autodesk will re-open Freewheel, but it's not likely. So your best best is to not buy this app until we get an update from Autodesk!
Thanks,
Austin Silver Software

McDwiff lets you open and view DWF and DWFx files on your iPad. It's simple, powerful, and easy to use. It's also 100% accurate, since it uses Autodesk's native translation technology.
McDwiff uses Autodesk's online DWF translation server to render DWF files, so you need to be connected to the Internet (wi-fi or 3G) to use it.
Dropbox is supported for storing and opening your DWFs.
You can't redline or share DWF files yet, but we are already at work on the next version of McDwiff, so stay tuned!
We downloaded this to view network/building drawings. We are a large University, and this app enabled our techs to use iPad 2's as a field tool. Initially we had issues with the app crashing, however after exchanging emails with the developers, the problem was quickly resolved with an update. The problem was addressed within 24 hours of notifying them, and an app store update within a few days! Great app, great service, will be watching from other useful apps from these folks!!
Fantastic app for construction portability

The app is great so far. What a great way to have an entire set of plans in the palm of my hand. I'm really looking forward to the markup and 3D releases. I'm going to go blog about your software right now ( Revit3D-com)

I am trying to use this app to look at drawings inside the autodesk vault web client viewer. I can easily use safari to find the files, however when safari asks me to open the file with mcdwiff it opens the program for a second and then crashes. I noticed that one of the latest updates addressed this issue, but it looks as though it's still a problem. I e-mailed their support and even sent examples of the files I was trying to open. I still haven't gotten a response 2 weeks later. this program seems promising however still buggy.
McDwiff is great!

Love this app! It's easy to use, fast, and convenient!!!
On January 31, 2014, Autodesk ended support for Freewheel, the web service that McDwiff relies on. We are, therefore, no longer able to support McDwiff. Thank you for your support over the years.
