Use your Mac for any audio-related task, such as live audio recording, creating iPhone ringtones, digitizing tapes and records, converting between a variety of sound formats (including Mp3, MPEG-4 AAC, AIFF, WAVE, WMA, CAF, FLAC, Ogg Vorbis), remastering your iTunes music library, record internet streams, etc.
Thanks to its outstanding direct-to-disk abilities and waveform caching, edits on arbitrarily large sounds are performed at lightning speed with this fully featured multi-track editor. The handling of large sounds is furthermore facilitated by the extensive support of markers.
While Amadeus Pro features a number of built-in audio effects (equalizer, speed and pitch change, echo, etc), its abilities can be extended arbitrarily through the support of Audio Units.
Besides all the functions you would expect from a professional quality waveform editor, Amadeus Pro also features:
- Tracks can be split into multiple clips for easy placement
- Audio Units can be applied to tracks non-destructively in real-time
- Smart editing
- Scheduled recordings
- Powerful batch processor
- Direct recording from internet streams
- A full range of real-time and offline sound analysis tools

Cool tool, could be more

I have used Amadeus for podcast and voice-over production for almost as long as it’s been available. I use it on both and of the production process: Pre-editing and processing raw recordings before bringing them into mixing tools like ProTools, Apple Logic, or Audacity, and for final mastering after mixing before distribution. Amadeus Pro does what it does much better than equivalent features in those mixing apps. Analyzing levels and spectrum, de-noising, and really tight editing is much easier in Amadeus Pro.Support is good, especially through the forum.I only wish Amadeus Pro had better features for processing and editing files with more that two channels.
dependable and deep in features

I've been using this app for maybe 15 years. Some years more than others. I'm continually finding features to address my audio needs. It's always been a rock solid, bug free app. Just today I read a section in the manual explaining how to normalize audio within a file and across files, which is hugely helpful for making background music to my wife's online fitness videos. This is all accomplished with a batch processor saving tons of time. This is yet one of the countless features that does exactly what I need, and saves me time.
I Used to Love The Program and Use it Everyday
GTRBOY
I used to love the program and used it everyday, but their “Customer Service” has destroyed my faith in these fiends. I used to use Amadeus Pro every single day of my life for my recording business. However, today I felt the need to purchase Mackeeper Pro to make sure my computer was virus free and running at peak performance. Well, Mackeeper Pro blew out my license for Amadeus Pro. I contacted Mackeeper Pro and expressed my disappointment. They immediately refunded my purchase and apologized for the “inconvenience.” Amadues Pro sent me on a wild goose chase within their “support” system and completely and totally failed to restore my PURCHASED program to full functionality. By failing to restore my purchased license they stole from me. They literally took my money and gave me nothing in return. That is considered theft. Terrible Customer Service to the point of theft.
Amazing

I haven't used an audio program that has been this easy and useful ever. I had some expensive vinyl albums to digitize and this worked perfect! The only thing that could make it better is if there would be a way to send the audio to individual files based on the markers. Although the burn to cd does this, the only way I could figure out how to make individual files was to highlight each section between markers and then save the selection...
