Have you been looking for a tool to control some app that you just can't control with AppleScript or Automator?
Congratulations! You have just found total Repeater!
Repeater provides a much needed and very convenient platform for recording repetitive actions without having to learn and understand Automator or AppleScript, which are well beyond most user's abilities.
Moreover, not all apps can be scripted at all, but Repeater can help you anyway.
Furthermore, you can integrate Repeater with popular scripting languages to dramatically improve their possibilities.
Repeater is a tool specially designed for recording and playback user actions such as mouse movements and clicks, standard and hardware keystrokes, vertical and horizontal scrolling & zooming. It is also capable of storing information about currently running applications to launch them on playback.
Repeater's UI resembles a music player with standard record, rewind and playback buttons, familiar to the most users. It also includes events visual preview, which helps to navigate through the recordings.
The utility is best suited for creation of live presentations or UI testing, and even just for fun.
Repeater has some advanced scripting features such as
★ automatically start playback
★ automatically start recording
★ loop mode
★ stealth mode
★ blocking playback interruptions
★ automatically quit after playback
★ events file decompiler and compiler
Repeater can work over SSH connection! Paired with stealth mode recording and built-in preview, it is easy to spy what your kids are actually doing while you are away... (Command line knowledge is necessary for some operations.)

Very nifty program, works very well.

This little fellow will help me a lot, it's very convenient and intuitive. It provides a much needed and very convenient platform for recording repetitive actions wihtout having to learn and understand automator or apple scripting, which are well beyond most user's abilities. It could be quite a bit more advanced though ***especially for the price****. As it is it's maybe a $5 to $7 program. If it could do things like place a cursor at a specific point in a document itself (instead of a specific spot on the screen) then I could see it being worth the already twice-as-high price… as it is you can record actions flawlessly BUT the windows involved can NOT be moved after the recording is made or the recordings will no longer work properly...unless you can do everything in a recording via key-stroke instead of pointer movement. This is because it records where your pointer is on the screen, not in a document… so moving the document renders the recording useless. In otherwords if you highlight a block of text in a document using your mouse the next time you run the Repeater recording the document must be in the exact same place on the screen and also scrolled to the exact same point in the document, because Repeater doesn't record where you started highlighting in the document itself… it records where on the screen your pointer was when you clicked it. Being able to anchor mouse actions to specific spots in dialogues or documents would make the program far more useful because then even if you moved windows etc. the recordings would still work. There's a ton of other functionality this program could/should include but doesn't, such as trimming the end off a recording… I don't need the mouse to go to the spot where the "stop recording" button was at the end of each recording etc. And being able to edit existing recordings would be nice, instead of having to re-record if there's one mistake. But overall it's a great idea and I'll definitely use it a lot, I already do. Whether or not the developer evolves the program to it's full potential remains to be seen. It could be tremendously powerful… as it is it's very handy, but not exceptional.
Having troule setting hotkeys
Mhippz
It seems to be a great application but I’m having trouble setting hotkeys, no matter what I press it just pops up with an alert that doesn’t say anything. Anyone know what I’m doing wrong?
Easy to use for boring, repetitive tasks!
J90er
I recently had to do a repetitive (and boring) task that the Mac Automator wasn’t a good fit for, so I turned to Repeater. It is very simple to use - just hit record and start doing your thing. The repeat option was invaluable so that Repeater would just keep chipping away on my boring tasks. Thanks for the great application!
Decent

Currently I find this to be the most decent reply device that is free. It records mouse strokes just fine. However, I am unable to record keystrokes which may be something to do with my preferences or OS yosemite. I hope for more updates to improve quality.
