Ive used a competitors product for dimming my screen when surfing the web at night or when working in the dark in general. When I purchased my new M1 Mac Mini, I was surprised that the app I was using was a glitchy mess. After waiting for an update and sending an Email to tech support that was never answered, I came here and purchased "Work At Night"I like this appt works well and is a simple interface. Slide right, slide left. Thats as complicated as it gets. I also like how dim the maximum setting is. I like it.My only suggestion is that my old app had the ability to tint the screen red. I liked that and did use it. Im hoping the developer adds a red tint mode in future.4 stars for simplicity

Just downloaded this and I've used it for all of 2 minutes. But I already like it enough to write a review. At the price of less than a cup of coffee this is a real bargain. I am using it with my Mac Book Pro 17 and an external monitor. If you have two external monitors than what people are saying about not being able to control the brightness for two screens would probably be correct. However, I can still use the brightness keys on my keyboard so I dial in my external screen first with this app and then adjust my laptop screen accordingly. Glad I decided to try it. Best dollar I spent this week!

It was my hope this app would be suitable in my experience; however, once downloaded, it wasn’t what I expected nor was I able to open app for accessing settings for knowing more about this app and its setting options. It made my screen gray immediately upon download, and that was uncomfortable and got rid of it right away. I tried to get refunded since I could access settings and adjust it, and never able to open app, and I was denied a refund, which was really not right. Sales are final should not apply for function issues.

It works as it says it does, and I like the fact that the mouse isn't effected. You can choose to have the menu bar remain at full brightness, which is a nice touch. The thing that seriously limits the useablility of this app is that it doesn't work with full-screen apps. If I have a webpage open in a full-screened Safari window, it's still blazing white.I'm certainly still going to use the program, but I won't be able to do so while using full-screen apps.
