more I just purchased this app to track my freelance hours. I love the interface, love the payroll component too. But there's a slight glitch with the employee photo aspect. I work with my wife, and we use this app to track our hours separately, and when I attempted to add both of our profile images - the app suddenly quit. This erased our data and we had to start from scratch. This isn't a huge deal since we know what we look like. But it did seem like a detail that was weighed against a rapid release and a quality product. This issue was (and still could be) an easy fix, if handled correctly and soon. You get 1 chance to make a great impression, and if this gets fixed in the next update, it will upgrade my good impression back to a great one.

May 2017 - I removed a star down to three now. Why? If you edit an entry in a previous pay period, the app moves it to the current pay period instead of the correct one. This is a bad deal and can totally hose up your billing. I've emailed the developer about it and am waiting to hear back. App can't handle time zone changes without getting confused. The times don't change accordingly as you cross zones. This a minor gripe. Haven't heard anything from the developer yet about this issue. - Original Review Below -Since the 2.0 update, I no longer have the option of 24 hour time unless my phone is set for 24 hour time. This is something I can manage, but it was nice to have the option. The ability to toggle this, without needing to change the time on my device, would make this a 5 star app. *wiggles eyebrows at the developer*You are able to export the total monetary value of a job by adjusting the job's preferences. Go to the Job Screen, and then tap the pencil icon in the lower right corner. Now tap the job name. This should take you to the job preferences page where you can toggle a few options. This wasn't readily apparent to me, but the Dev walked me through it. Seems I'm not quite as tech savvy as I thought. 😉

Needs more updates and bug fixes. One year for the last update is a bit much, and the icliud/QuickSync that was promised in the next update (over a year ago) is still, not here. Oftentimes, the text will not export to email and the dates that I tell it to export function doesn't work, so I have to export ALL of my time for that particular Job (in my case, it's the same job, different pay weeks, different pay rates.....), if this worked properly, it would be great. Have moved on to better kept apps.

With my company we generally charge half up front and half when we complete the design project however there are occasions where we have an hourly rate. For instance after the project is complete but the client wants additional changes and that is where this app comes in. I love using it on my iPad while I am working, love the break button and how I can easily send an invoice from the app. We don't need anything extravagant so this is perfect. I love the design, ease of use, functionality and simplicity of it all. I would refer this to anyone who has a small business and just needs to track hourly fees.

2.0.2 09/26/2015
***As a precaution, send yourself a data backup before updating***
v2.0.1:
This release contains all known bug fixes reported by our users (thanks for your feedback!):
- FIXED: Some users had issues unlocking the invoice section. We fixed this rare bug causing the app to not allow the invoice section to be unlocked for a small amount of users.
- FIXED: If no users were added to the app, a double user button would display.
- FIXED: We removed the 'hrs' and 'mins' from the CSV exports, so you can calculate the hours using Excels formulas.
- FIXED: A rare bug in which while on break for an extended period, the hours would count backwards.
- FIXED: Some users reported trying to edit their timecards to show an exact time (i.e. 1hr 30mins). When you manually edit a timecard, the app now rounds to minutes, instead of taking seconds into count.
- Various other fixes and adjustments, including some further polishing throughout the app.

Version 1.1:
-New Features-
New backup/sync options!!
- You can now email yourself an entire backup of your data. This will include all job info, pay periods, overtime, timecards, etc. The backup file is being constantly and automatically updated every time you use Timecard Pro.
- Also added the ability to utilize iTunes File Sharing service. Every time you sync your device to iTunes, the most recent back up will be saved. You can also add additional back ups into this area utilizing your emailed back ups, just name them differently than the main back up file. Add and store as many backup files inside Timecard Pro as you'd like.
There are two ways to import your data back in or sync it to another one of your devices:
-Opening up the email that you sent your backup to. Clicking on the backup file, and selecting 'Open in "Timecard Pro"'.
- Utilizing iTunes File Sharing service, and selecting the backup you want to use.
The backup area is located inside Timecard Pros settings.
- Added 'QuickContact' to background of Home screen. Ability to call, email, and map an address of your currently selected job directly from here. Simply lift up the Home Page top plate more than halfway up the screen, and it'll lock into place. Click on any of the items to access its feature.
- Added indicator badge to icon to show how many jobs you are currently clocked into (can be turned on/off in settings).
- Added email address field on Add Job page.
Bug Fixes:
- Fixed On/Off toggle switches not saving for iPad version.
- If no email accounts are set up on the device, it will now alert you that you can't send an email.
- Overtime start day Wednesday or later caused crash. Now fixed.
