The ARINCDirect app is a valuable tool to help on-the-go aircraft pilots increase their effectiveness. Using this app, ARINCDirect customers have up-to-the-minute access to their flight plans, weather, packages, and airport charts in an easy-to-use format.

I noticed the reviews are extremely dated....truth is a lot of improvements have occurred and continue to occur.Nice organized lay out...easy to read. In app flight planning would be nice and would reduce flight planning workload.
Needs in app flight planning

Flight planning and filing takes soooo long to do with ARINC. I wish they would catch up with the others. I can plan a flight and file a flight plan in ForeFlight in a matter of a few minutes. With ARINC, the same process takes more than 20 minutes! Even with the fast Internet service, the screen refresh speeds are incredibly slow. You have to keep clicking on different buttons to update the flight plan. Other apps automatically update the flight plan when changes are made in just a second or two. It is not user-friendly at all. The route planning and selection is horrible. Sometime it files a different cruise altitude than I requested. And then all their services cost so much more than other apps.

The app running on iPad 2 or 4 requires significantly long WiFi connections every single day to keep everything current. I devote 10-15 minutes every single morning on the road updating the app. It seems to attempt to buffer downloads but cannot be trusted to do so as it chokes itself to a standstill while attempting to download multiple files at a time. Managing the downloads manually is not only absurdly time-consuming but not not easy as the app defaults back to its “auto” mode. If it were not for APG running inside the app, I would not use it at all.

This app has just about everything you need!
Urgent fixes to the PDF framework and Pencil functions including:
You can now write with the Pencil and scroll and zoom using your finger simultaneously
The quality of the Pencil annotations is greatly improved (no more missed strokes)
Company/User/Aircraft documents which are annotated and saved as a Leg Docs will now be cleared of annotations so they can be used again on your next flight
Hyperlinks in Documents now are working properly
The eraser no longer erases one letter at a time (and other eraser fixes)
Annotation Icon is now visible in Dark Mode
Bugfix where Pencil and freeform annotations were being duplicated when they spanned over page breaks
We are working on another urgent release which will be coming very soon to address some of the other issues that have been reported
