I know a lot of hooplah has been made about the subscription fee, but honestly it's worth it for what the app allows. For me specifically, I have an R61 Paceman S All 4 Mini. One of the biggest pet peeves for me in the car came down to the gong and alert sounds the MINI makes, constantly interrupting my music in car with nagging reminders. In my case I changed my lights to LEDs and due to their low power consumption the car would notify of bulbs being out that weren't. I'd get at least 5-10 audible canbus errors on average as I drove and the Carly app allowed me to disable the system nag. As well as this, I shut off the seatbelt alert and set my car to auto lock as soon as the ignition went on. Additional touches include setting mirrors to autofold and window control from the fob; lows and fog lights coming on with unlock instead of just the parking lights. Well worth the price in comparison to the cost of an aftermarket audio system (which would remove the mini alerts completely) or purchasing an expensive set of *maybe* canbus free LEDs, on top of the other capabalities. Hoping for future coding to completely disable speed sensitive audio in the car but for now I'm cool with finally being able to drive without my car incessantly nagging me lol this thing is awesome I can't say it enough! Must buy for MINI owners fed up with their car's uppity shenanigans.

Into the second year now and had the adapter fail. The carly team has your back no charge 0$ had it here in a couple days. Never before have i seen a group of people so deadset on making sure u are taken care of. without a doubt the finest in the buisness. You all rock...just renewed the subscription to the every brand and still no complaints. Yes is not cheap but neither was that beautiful german engineered aww inspiring machine. Nor is the dealer repairs. With this little tool you can save thousands of dollars just in the coding of what the dealership charges as a “upgrade” . BMW’s are some of the most complex electrical nightmares ever to be created. A simple .5v bulb can send you into decreased enginge performance mode. A dead battery now ya have a missfire if it starts. The carly app lets you clear it all. View live data open those exhaust flaps fold the mirrors windows up down with the fob and more .. soooo much more ... dont wait just buy it already. If ya dont like it ... well than ur weird and you prolly dont like anything else either..lol... great job carly team ..... keep up the good work....

I am adding to my original review which is at the end of this new write up. I have recently been surprised by the makers of the carly app by then sending a massage on the old version of the app offering a free upgrade to the new version of the app with all features unlocked. I have not yet check all the features to make sure they are unlocked for use but i am sure they will be. I will say this app is very handy and with this new development where you may not have to pay every year to use it then i would recommend you get it if you have a bmw. As long as you do not need a yearly subscription and it is a one time payment i say get it other wise read my previous review below. This company is getting greedier by the minute read my review on the old version of this app. This new version nothing seems to be changed except now they want to to get a subscription of 59 dollars and some change and pay that every year just to diagnose your car or to use your device you bought that also cost 85 to 99 dollars and yes it is also from them. So in other word buy the hardware then pay them 59 dollars a year to be able to use it we need to boycott all purchases until they agree not to be so greedy

Beware buying from this company, I am German and I am used to this kind of arrogant behavior, but this company is an absolute scam. Buried deep in the fine print very hard to find. This is a subscription service that they charge you every year. but when ordering, I was completely under the assumption that it was a one time purchase, I ordered the full open license which was over $100 US. They also did not tell me anywhere, even in the fine print that I might have to pay an import duty tax on the “free “OBD2 scanner module. But another German company, DHL decided to hold that hostage for $30 before it would be delivered.. Immediately when I found out that this was going to be a subscription service long before the OBD 2 module was shipped, I tried to cancel. They will not issue a refund at all. No matter what. There is no possible way I could use the software without the scanner module that is being held hostage by DHL . Because I refuse to pay another extortion fee. So I deleted this app off of my phone and tried to close my account, but I was informed that even closing the account does not cancel the subscription. You have to get on your knees and beg these people for them to cancel the subscription. And guess what even though it’s been paid for, that subscription is canceled, you lose that money. You can’t use the year that you just paid for because it all goes away, pufff….. into thin air. Now you see it, now you don’t.. Like magicians just gone. if I didn’t have to be in United States for work, I would fly back to Germany and alert the proper authorities of this because they are clearly scamming people and they know it.

If you were charged and then canceled afterward, your cancellation applies to the current license period, meaning you won’t be charged again once this period ends.About the importation fees, please note that no one will hold any product/package hostage. This is a regulation imposed by the destination country. Unfortunately, there is no way Carly or any delivery company can control or change it. We make sure to be transparent about it and add this information in our FAQ's and in the Terms and Conditions. The amount and how this can be paid also change from country to country.
