Best yet - and I've tried a whole bunch

As anyone who has played around (aka struggled) with converting knows...many app choices and few should be chosen because most are very lacking. Either not enough features or too complicated for those of us who only need the app occasionally. With this one, I drag in my video, move the slider until file size fits the task at hand (uploading to a transcribe service, forinstance) and...voila. Being able to convert a sample is a nice feature and the price is right. So far, bravo!

Not working with macOS Tahoe

This review is one star only because the app seems to have stopped doing video conversion since I installed macOS Tahoe. Given that the last update was three years ago I guess I shouldn’t be surprised. This is an unfortunate development as I actually love this app and used it all the time over the last three years. That do you think? Is it just incompatible with Tahoe or am I suddenly doing something wrong? I bought it via the App Store. I’ve uninstalled it three or four times without success. It seems to convert the scale of files and preservs audio but video is lost or frozen on a single frame. Your thoughts please.

Software not worth paying for

Steep learning curve for such a simple purpose tool. Had to do allot of trial an error to figure out how to get output that would work for Apple TV, despite output format specifically labeled for "Apple TV". It doesn't support an output format for Apple TV in which subtitles are selectable, you are forced to embeded the subtitiles, burning the subtitles into the video permanently. At least it doesn't ask for a subscribed payment method. I'd suggest gambling on a more expensive app and see how it goes.
