CorrLinks is a way for family and friends to electronically communicate with their loved ones incarcerated in institutions. Established through a relationship between a corrections agency and ATG, this system allows family and friends to subscribe to CorrLinks services. Currently all Federal Bureau of Prisons, US Navy Brig (Charleston and Miramar), and Department of Corrections (DOC) for the States of Iowa, Maine, Massachusetts, Nevada, and Wisconsin institutions allow such communication. Note: To use this app, you must have a paid Premier Account subscription. The app has the following features: Stay in contact with your loved ones with real time alerts. Receive immediate push notifications to your device every time you receive a new message! Eliminates login on a mobile device! Messages downloaded significantly faster! Messages previously read are in your inbox and don’t need to be downloaded again! Retain messages on your device for 60 days – server still only keep 30 day. Attach up to 3 mobile devices to your account! Eliminates Captcha on the mobile app – making it much easier to interact. I love being able to use the app, it's much more convenient than having to check the web for messages! No stamps need to be purchased, which is a plus for me, & it notifies you when you have a message. Well, that was until recently, about 2 weeks ago. Now, I've noticed that my iPad will get the notifications but my phone doesn't. So I have to go into the app and refresh it to see if I have a message or a recently added ‘Draft’ message that I want to complete. I also believe if you leave the app with an unfinished message, it should automatically draft the mess. Not that it just deletes it but sometimes it will, I've experienced the app deleting 5 paragraph messages. If I was a cartoon I'd be red hot with smoke coming from my ears! Other than those issues, the app is good for me.

I had a Corrlink acct a few years ago. I went onto the website to see if I needed to reactivate it. I found I received a email I read and responded. I only received half the website and app. I kept looking for the recharge my acct button. It wasn’t there. In fact out of the 7 menu options I have 4. My account has no way of loading money to send, no photo option, no recharge option. So I downloaded the app thinking maybe I’d have those options there. Nope a box popped up saying I had to have the premium acct because I have a iPhone. That was fine. So it directed me back to the website. The website processed the upgrade to premium and took the money. Guess what, I still can not put money on it my account my for emails to him or for the inmate to emails me, etc. oh can’t forget to mention there is no place to change your last name. In saying that ladies do not get married or divorced and change your name it’s impossible to change it in the website. I kept trying to contact the company but they do not list their phone number, I did send a couple of emails. I still haven’t heard back from them. I understand the federal government is contracted with them but dang if corrlinks doesn’t act like a very shady company. P.S. I did look at their reviews and there is site after site with complaints. It’s sad since this is the only way to stay in contact friends and loved ones.

It feels like I’m texting with my husband again... the first message I got, I absolutely SOBBED. Any time we think of something funny or important or even just want to say “hey, I’m really having a rough day” between phone calls, we can do so (almost) instantly. The gratitude I feel to be able to maintain this type of relationship with my spouse... priceless. (Minus one star for occasional sync and connectivity issues.)
Filled a hole in my heart I didn’t realize was missing...

You can’t see what message you are replying to. Takes too long to get the messages.

The only problem I have with the app is when someone replies to my message I’m not sure what message they are replying to . It diss have the Re: with the subject there but if you are messaging back and forth on the same message then it gets confusing. Because they are not instant. It sometimes takes hours for the inmate to receive the message and vice versa. It has caused a lot of grief on my end . I’ll reply to something thinking they already got my message and they haven’t and I don’t know until I get another message later . It should show the last message that they are replying to in detail . Please fix this! Please!please! Please! I will give 5 stars if you fix this. Thanks ,C
