With an optional in-app purchase, you can unlock additional chime melodies: • Whittington • St. Michael's • Canterbury • Winchester Another in-app purchase allows for complete customization: • Separately set the chimes to play on each quarter hour • Chime the hour number on the hour or not • Play the chimes all day, or only during a specific time window. *The Westminster Quarters is the most common name for a melody used by a set of clock bells to chime on each quarter hour. Does what I want it to do.

Well it's a good idea......
The Westminster Chimes app does what I want it to do. It keeps me apprised of the time of day audibly. I have not upgraded to the paid version because I'm happy with the Westminster melody. If there is some other feature the $0.99 would get me, please let me know. I gave the app 4 stars because there are two features I would like to see added:1. Instead of the three volume settings relative to the system volume, I would prefer a slider that allows a continuous range from almost silent to boom-box loud. 2. I would like the chimes to mute themselves when music or podcasts are playing. Using the mute button is inconvenient because there may be other notifications I want to hear, or more commonly, I forget to unmute the phone after listening to the podcast and miss calls and texts. Overall, this is a great app if you want the time announced audibly or if you miss the grandfather clock in your parents living room.

I use the spoken times-I’m completely time blind, and while this doesn’t help me estimate how long things will take, it definitely helps me to stay on task and not let time ‘get away’ from me. I do have one complaint. The option to run the app during specific times in the day does not work. It’s either all the time, or nothing, and frequently I’ll forget to turn it back on, after turning it off over night. If that option worked, this would be a five star review! Otherwise it’s great.

I love opera Records
I like the fact that it is navigable and accessible with voiceover. A few suggestions though, please give us the ability to add and or record our own sounds and chimes or add more chimes to the app. Also in your next update can you please add a pendulum sound to the app, I think this would make it sound more like an actual clock. Thank you for this wonderful app I really enjoy it

I use this app primarily to assist with my time-blindness due to ADHD, but also to remind me to check-in on things like an I being mindful.The app is very well designed and even works around IOS limitations beautifully.If you experience any issues, be sure to reach out to the developer as he is very diligent and also quite articulate in explaining how the app and IOS is designed and how to best configure the app for your intentions.
