Description
The Crossword and Anagram Solver helps you when you get stuck on a crossword:
• Enter the letters you already know, and the blank squares you don't, and let the app do the rest
• Solve anagrams
• Shuffle anagram letters manually, to give you a hint without handing you the answer immediately
• Look up words in the thesaurus, and get lists of synonyms
• Get definitions of words (built-in, or using DuckDuckGo's online dictionary)
Basic crossword solving is always free. The advanced features require a paid upgrade (after a free trial to try them out).

The app uses a combination of the UK Advanced Cryptics Dictionary and the WordNet® dictionary to find suitable words to fit in the grid.

What’s New
Version 4.2
Minor bug fix: the word list took a couple of seconds to appear on iOS 17 rather than being almost instant.
This version now requires iOS 12. You should still be able to install the previous version of the app on older devices. I've tried to support older devices as long as possible, but now iOS 12 is the minimum version that I'm allowed to support.

Crossword app
I absolutely love this app! I use every aspect of this app, but I mostly use the anagram solver and crossword solver. I use it to help solve the CodyCross app, and it helps tremendously in the Wordle app ! I also use this app when I need to check my spelling when writing emails, letters, etc.

Great simple helpful app
Just suggests possible words so you've still got to think about the answers. Quick access to definitions as well. A relatively no-frills app perfect for getting unstuck quickly. I tried a few similar apps but this eventually emerged as my favorite.
Great aid!
I use this on Wordscapes when I get stuck. The letters are there but staring at them after a while I start to go crazy I just put one in here and the number of spaces I have and search away. 9 out of 10 times I find what I’m looking for
