I love this app I could play this for ever if I want to I like how you can choose from the great highland bagpipes to the Scottish smallpipes it railly sounds like I am playing bagpipes thank you for this amazing app I hope that this app will still be fantastic for years to come!

If you've had the pleasure of coming into contact with a true Scot, you'll know how hearing the drone of the pipes will result in tears of pride within minutes. Don't believe me? Find one and, without saying a word, start playing "Scotland the Brave" on this app. Watch as they immediately stop what they're doing and search for the source of the sweet melody. As they listen, their mind turning inward in recount of centuries thick with heritage, the wells will begin to overflow, it cannot be quelled.My mother is one such Scot. And the next time I see her I will be able to play the pipes for her myself. She will be so proud.My wife, however, is not of the same ancestry. For her the sound from this app brings an expression not unlike that of a thousand tortured cats. I'm sure it's because I'm still learning, and as I play these songs over and over in a quest to master my craft, she will learn to appreciate the emotion and soul that emanate from my bagpipes, like a story that must be told.This app is easy enough to get the hang of on the first try, providing instant gratification, but is also hard enough that you'll want to keep playing until you get it perfect. The sounds are great, lots of polish, and there are enough free songs that you won't feel like the author pulled a bait-and-switch with the in-app purchases.As a bonus, I now have a vague understanding of how the real bagpipes are played. Looking forward to getting a go at the real deal someday.My only suggestion so far is to add an indicator that shows the next note to be played, with a countdown so that I can figure out the correct timing on new songs.Well done, definitely made my evening. Now, time to get back to culturing my wife.

Love this app! (My teenager thinks it is the coolest.). I got it from Apps Gone Free for promotion, but would have paid for it if I knew it was available earlier. We enjoy the pipes & other Scottish/Irish instruments, particularly when accompanying Celtic or patriotic/traditional songs. I do think there are a few songs missing from the line-up, but will send those to the developer. If you ever thought you would want to play the pipes and never got to, then here is your opportunity!
