Wooden Clock returns to the App Store ... with a new Japan Clock! I had to update the app to get it back on the app store (and deal w/some strange Apple Developer account renewal issues) so I took the update opportunity to add a new clock - so the app now has a 7th skin .. the "Japan" clock! Tezuka Clock Company (also known as "Poppo" clocks). I found the "moving eyes" mechanic as well as the background story of the company fascinating and very charming so I had to attempt to base the new clock on their clocks. For the record I never found a horizontal/mantel version of their clock - they're all vertical/wall-hanging clocks - so I had to make my own version (my apologies if my version breaks any engineering or cultural rules). Anyhow - I hope everyone likes the new clock! Side/technical note - I had to get this shipped a bit faster than normal so if there are any issues please leave a comment on the app homepage (link in the About section of the app).

Found out there was a bug w/the German clock hands not showing up! Should be fixed now.

A new clock has been added ... the "Sweden" clock! While I don't know a great deal about Sweden (or Norway and Finland) I've always had an appreciation and curiosity for Scandinavian culture and history. After recently learning about the old Swedish "Mora" clock style I thought I would try to create a new clock to the app based on that. Most "Mora" clocks are tall/grandfather style clocks of course but hopefully I captured at least a little of the style and spirit of them in the new Sweden clock. For the hourly chime I couldn't find a music box version of the Swedish national anthem anywhere so I recorded my wife playing it on the piano. I'm biased of course but I think it sounds great! A new clock has been added ... the "Germany" clock! I've always been fond of Germany's history, cultural traditions, classical music, architecture and more - so I've added a new Germany clock to the app! As always I realize the clocks in this app are not actually from these countries but I hope people enjoy them. I think this one may be my favorite so far. A new clock has been added ... the "Russia" clock! After meeting a few nice people from Russia/eastern Europe this past year I got the idea to make a clock based on that region. Another new clock has been added ... the "France" clock! The new France clock was assembled in a quiet village off the River Meuse in 1932 by an old clockmaker who had fought in the Battle of Verdun (http://goo.gl/GwwPmB). Ok ... some or all of that may entirely be made up but we can at least pretend, d'accord? Mais oui, bien sûr! Either way I hope everyone likes the new clock! A brand-new clock has been added ... the "Tibet" clock! The new Tibet clock was hand-carved, assembled and painted in the majestic foothills of Mount Everest near the city of Lhasa. Ok ... actually it was all done in Photoshop and a text editor in a dark office .. but that's almost as inspiring right?! In any case I hope everyone enjoys the new clock!
