WARNING: Do not read this review if it is over 2 months old. By then, the problems I have described might be fixed. If you are reading this on or past October 5th 2025, please stop reading. Thank you. This app is ok, but a few things. I use this for my 3 year old sister, and she LOVES it. The reason this gets 2 stars, however, is because of a daily limit. We have the free version of Splash Jr, and she only gets 2 lessons a day, when there are 5 in the daily curriculum. Therefore, she only gets one lesson for reading and one for mathematics. I think this is a bit unfair, as she wants to do more lessons, and because we can’t afford to pay for premium, she can’t. I’d say if you are planning on using this app more than once a day, make sure you can pay for premium, because this app is pointless without it. Also, without paying, she can be in one live class, but can’t use chat, so can’t communicate with her teacher. We tried it out once, and her teacher, Miss Esther, was so sweet, trying to help troubleshoot, but in the end neither of us could do anything. If you are wanting this app, MAKE SURE YOU CAN PAY FOR PREMIUM. Until the devs are kind enough to care about people who can’t pay premium, I will be finding her another app. If the developers are reading this, please make it at least 10 free lessons, 5 for reading and 5 for math, and/or make a sponsoring program like the one on Finch. Thank you for your time, and have a lovely rest of your day.
Thanks for taking the time to share such a thoughtful and honest review. We're so glad your little sister enjoys SplashLearn. It’s heartening to hear that she’s excited to learn! We understand your frustration with the limitations of the free plan. SplashLearn does offer a 7-day free trial so parents can explore the full experience before deciding if it’s the right fit. That said, your feedback around accessibility and lesson limits is truly valuable. We hear you, and it’s something we’ll pass along to the product team. Also, Miss Esther will be happy to know she made a positive impression 😊. Thanks again for your note, and we wish you and your sister the best on your learning journey.
