After extending my best regards, I would like to suggest a few enhancements for the app 1. The app should display page labels, not just the physicl pages numbers. 2. The outline list should present its levels more effectively, meaning that rather than expanding each level in a new open window to keep it virtical list expanded for all levels to be shown up all at once. A more sophisticated approach, similar to the functionality found in the PDF Expert app, would be beneficial. 3. For advanced outlines, one of the standout features of Foxit PDF Editor is the ability to search within outlines. I propose implementing a feature that allows users to trigger outlines' search bar to momentarily filled with any keyword. as soon as a line in outlines tapped which has this keyword embeded as a new kind of destination, that should serve as a destination for the outline search bar rather than page numbers. 4. app should keep search results showed up after taping any of it, rather than retyping in outlines's search bar the keyword again. 5. To ensure that The app save pages switched after switching it from right to left the same as it is expected after cropping; currently, cropped pages saved cropped. I believe these improvements would significantly enhance the app's functionality and overall user experience. Thank you for the excellent apps you offer on Apple platforms

Updated review: FoxIt PDF Editor is the best and most affordable PDF viewing and editing software I’ve found for the iPad and I’ve been using it for 3-4 years. The free version is great for viewing, allowing you to have up to five PDFs open in tabs at the same time. For $11/yr you get editing features, too. With the update to version 12.0, the software reverted to the locked version and I was unable to reactivate it. The software contacted the Apple servers, recognized that I have an active subscription but then gave an “unknown error” message and the software stayed locked. This prevents me from editing or using complex PDF forms. I reached out to customer support, including screenshots of the problem on the iPad. After 9 days, I received a message about the Mac version of the software that made it seem like my messages wasn’t even read. After I posted a negative review here, I got a response within 12h. This tells me the company is focusing on sales over support. I fixed the problem myself by deleting the app, restarting my iPad and reinstalling it. This worked, but made me lose all my imported PDFs, which now have to be reimported. Bugs happen, but FoxIt needs to put more resources into customer support.

IMHO, the only things that prevents a 5-star rating of perfection pertains to highlighting & comments. If the text of a bullet list is copied when highlighting the format line breaks from a bullet list are ignored; whereas selecting the text and copying preserves all line breaks, which sometimes means there could only a few words per line from words in a textbook where te text is adjacent to a diagram.Also, while editing comments the hit box for “Ok” and “Done” NEEDS to be larger (no matter if that means a larger banner at the top of the comment box).We also need the ability to enter RGB codes for highlight colors (and save them as a preset) to ensure we match the same color as in the PC version…as of now I need choose a random orange color in the app, then on PC filter the comments to only show the various shades of orange, then edit the properties to select a presaved custom color.Lastly, when summarizing only comments we should have the option to consolidate multiple pages. As of now if I highlight one sentence on page 500 & one sentence on page 501, the “Summary” will create two pages for these. So for paramedic books, out of 2,100 pages (with ~350 pages remaining to read), the “Summary” is 650 pages and most pages only have 1-3 highlighted items. If a page has only 4 words highlighted, then the “Summary” will use an entire page! This mostly contradicts the definition of “Summary”…a more accurate description is “Exporting comments to PDF”, not a “Summary”.To have a “Summary” document that is actually useful, I would need to copy+paste everything in to MS Word, Google Docs, etc.
iPad app crashes constantly

This software works wonderfully on my Windows computer & Mac, however the paid iPad version is extremely frustrating. The handwriting function with Apple Pencil or just a finger seems to overload it and it crashes constantly. The other problems with handwriting,—once you’ve written several lines on a page, even if they are far apart, when you try to select one line, it always selects everything you’ve written since you chose that button. Handwriting to text is a problem as well, as every time you format text after conversion, the next time you have to do it again and I have yet to find a setting for default formatting. This also applies to typing—you have to format it every time. The full software versions of this alway revert to the last formatting you used. I’ve tried submitting reports for suggestions or problems within the app and it crashes when I do that as well. Using this as a student to try to write or even type on pdfs is useless. I am beyond frustrated and unless it gets fixed, I won’t be renewing this subscription.
