“Enriched UI/User experience”?! NOT! Stinks

For all chest thumping Indians at work on this app, they can’t put out a basic app that actually functions, forget the elegance or ease of use. The latest update is supposed to have improved UI and user experience. As a matter of fact, this year, they introduced a solid band at the bottom the Fantasy game (I’m on iOS 16.4) that takes up more than 1/4th of the real estate. It announces the game at hand and one just cannot wipe it away, hide it, or kill it. It covers so much that I could not go to the next step in finalizing my team in Fantasy. The update has NOT removed this. Another critical issue was that the app kept saying (in a red error band on top) that I’m to chose 11 players. It neither allowed me to go to next step nor gave me options to review my whole team. Remember that the bottom is taken up by that big block! There are several other issues with the functionality, UI/experience, aesthetics, and navigation/flow (brain-dead process architecture?). But none more critical than the fact that it’s been impossible to get on board the account. (It’s always been so but especially harder this time). The silly OTP by email and now by phone as well …. Just a demonstration of muddled thinking. If there are any - any - professionals there, they must hang their head in shame!

I don’t know what the updates for this app are doing but they’re clearly not fixing some of the major bugs. For example, if I want to watch a video, the screen doesn’t turn (full screen) when I rotate my phone. Moreover, it doesn’t turn both ways. Also, if I click on the archives or any stats from previous seasons, a pop-up window appears showing a profile for Ruturaj Gaikwad and some random videos. I can’t exit the pop-up either. At times the app is also unresponsive, leading to it suggesting an update, which is ultimately futile. Please fix these issues; the app was a lot better over the last few years!

Use this app to keep myself updated on the match scores and points table. Today as there were two matches scheduled, while the MI vs DC game was on, I wasn’t able to see their scores as it was just showing Match 3 was scheduled for later today between PK and RCB. Moreover you can not even see the stats for the 2022 season after the end of first and second match. Point table takes too long to update. Made so many changes since last IPL to make this app better, but completely looked over the user acceptance test and made the app useless
